Spend day for me today - £16.21 to App Foods (8kg chicken & veg soup, 14kg pasta sauce and 10 packs fruit crispbreads - including postage charge), and £2.18 on milk (A!di)

Now need to menu plan for next month using as much from my freezers as I can in as short a space of time (ie. use up bulky stuff first), as I need the space to portion up the soup (25 portions) and pasta sauce (93-112 depending on whether I reduce portion size from normal 150g to 125g or not, but I think I probably will)

    Signature updated

Just typed out a reply and MSE logged me out:mad:

Popped to Mr T today for my dad and picked up a few things for us, for anyone thats interested they are selling iceberg lettuce and heads of celery for 40p each.
They also have RightGuard on offer BOGOF, OH prefers this deoderant so have stocked up for him.

I have also put an order in with AF, sharing the order with my sister, so will amend signature when its delivered.
Have also ordered some of the pasta sauces, they look like a good buy 99p for 2kg.

  • Hi all another 3 NSD's!! I like this working full time lark! I have dd's birthday on thurs (also the start of my new month) so do need to get a few bits for her tea and cakes for nursery (birthday budget) I have already done my monthly online shop but it's for July and so out of that budget. I also have a £5 off £50 for Mr T's but it runs out half way through the month so I might do Augusts big shop in July!

Mrs M I will declare at £390 for June (i was a bit over but I had a 5.5 week month and I normally spend £400 in 4 weeks so am quite pleased I tried so hard!)

and can you put me down for £360 for July

well done everyone and good luck for next month!!! :T

another two spending days, had guests yesterday and needed bread and yogurts so spent today, got the *optional extras* in the shopping basket down to £4! better than it would have been pre challenge. now have a bulging fridge, freezer nearly full again (made potatoe wedges for tea and have frozen two trays for later), have not written a meal plan, if i had then i would not have spent so much as so much in already!
Good news is i'm still within my budget, and am going to menu plan this week (and next) with what i have in the fridge and freezer.

Spent another £27.36, taking the total to [FONT=&quot]£142.68. Two days to go, with no plans to buy any more groceries, and I still have £17.32 left from budget. Thought I might need to get milk or bread, but found a six pint bottle of milk in the fridge, that I forgot I bought on Saturday, and half a loaf of 'whoopsied' bread in the freezer!

Mrs M can you please put me down for £300 please for July, I failed in June and I have to declare.... OMG £378.21:eek: I have gone over by £118.21 :( I am blaming the World Cup for some of it as I had to get more food and drink in to cover football guests, plus hubby likes a few drinks when watching the game. I will try harder next month, just a couple of birthdays, but I am now getting free salad stuff and strawberries out of the garden with the promise of a lot more veg, potaotes etc. :)
    WW start date 31/8/2011 :j

weight lost so far:- 32lbs :T

still need to add up the receipts but there isn't anything left in the jar this month!! We were doing ok til Sat when DH spent £20 on bbq meat and pimms! Some of the spending was on non grocery stuff too so will see...

On the up side we have a ton of whoopsied meat in the freezer which means I only have to buy a coupla chickens to roast this month. I've also ended up with more in the store cupboard than I started with due to unmissable bargains and B&M and Home Bargains so overall I'm happy!
