Just had my T*sco delivery for this week and they really seem more expensive than A*da for me atm. I'm going to stick with A*da from now on clubcard points or no (unless T*sco send me a REALLY good code!).
I've got just £13.19 left for this week but I need to come in on budget this month so now I'm going to be really tight... Let them eat toast!
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0 -
Hello Everyone! This month is my first attempt so I made a guess.....sigh. I will be over my projected spend by the 26th-OH gets paid 27th(looks on calendar)....ooh actually 25th. Quite a close guess but will need to start cutting spend next month. Not so much shopping in Mr S!!
Where can I buy white vinegar? I read somewhere that you can clean your washing machine by putting half a cup in the drum then running a really hot cycle.
Must go I'm off to a meeting. Have a good evening!"It's hard to be a diamond in a rhinestone world"0 -

You don't need to give up Mr S- its my shop of choice still! You need to be stricter and stick to your list! :T And shop around for the bargains!
You can normally get white vinegar in the main shops- our Mr S does it- or try Wilkinsons?

I like Mr S but we only have a small one near us and they don't have all the lines. I think that their Basics range is far and away the best of all the no-frills stuff. I like their meat too - particularly the chickens and also the eggs - they don't use any caged animals or their eggs which is good IMO. Didn't go out today so that I could avoid the shops so nsd for me:jWe hav been invited to my friend's for our tea so that means no cooking which is also a good saving, although I will have to take a bottle of wine, but I have one in so still no spending required!
Off to look at the recipe section for flapjacks - I made some on Sunday and they were really really greasy and no-one would eat them so need to find another recipe.Jane

I get mine in 5 litre plasic containers from my greengrocer for about £2 each. It is spiced for chutney-making, but the white version is just as effective and isn't that smelly, honest!
Already over my monthly target of £400, with 2 weeks to go !! That does include over 16 kilos of organic bread flour (and enhancer) that has yet to arrive from Claybrooke Mill (costing over £40), which will keep me baking bread for the rest of the year!!!!
Not having a great day, so off to lie down (again)...it's the only thing that seems to ease the pain I am getting atm.
Hope everyone has had a better day than me today!!

Going to stick to £200 again for July as now have lunches to pay for! Am I the only one who thinks this year has literally flown in? I can't believe it is almost July again!
Hope you are feeling ok Keiss! If it helps... I ended up under my desk today laying flat on the floor stuffing envelopes as my head was about to explode! I did look insane!Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790 -
Thanks Feline and Keiss for the encouragement and info about white vinegar. My OH particularly likes Mr S and enjoys shopping together for food. I think I need to get a life......................!"It's hard to be a diamond in a rhinestone world"0
