Thanks for the bump of this thread. It reminded me to check the renewal date of my card, which sure enough ran out in January, so I've just renewed it.0

If he is resident here, he should get the card here.
By and large, nationality is irrelevant.0 -

This has come at just the right time Martin thanks very much!
I had no clue you needed such a thing
I and my family have never been abroad (unless you count a day trip to france in the 80's lol!), but DD is going to france next year for 4 day's and school have just sent out the paper work which has the EHIC mentioned on it, I didn't even know what it was referring to! Then your email had it mentioned and now I understand. I have applied in my name so that I can add her and get it in plenty of time lol! - a whole year - best be ready!!
Thanks again Martin - your the best! :money::money::money::money::money:
I love to save money0 -
My EHIC card expires end of September.
Can I apply for a replacement card already now?
Thanks.
Renewing an EHIC
You can apply to renew an EHIC up to six months before the expiry date, however any time left on your EHIC is not added to your new card. An EHIC is valid for five years. The easiest way to apply for your free EHIC is online. Alternatively, phone 0845 606 2030.
You can also apply by post. An application pack is available from some post offices. However, postal applications will take longer.0 -
Just a reminder that the EHIC is free.
There's a number of websites that look official but will charge you anything from £9.99 to get your card.
OFT have closed some websites down but more have sprung up.0 -
