Anyone is normally committed to mitigate their losses to benefit from any from of insurance.
So if your colleague doesn't have an ehic then they may be subject to additional costs tahthat could have been avoided by having one.0 -

My understanding is that if you don't have and show the EHIC the insurance company will only pay the extra costs. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0

Noticed when applying for EHIC card that one of the statements in the terms and conditions states that:
'The persons named in this application have consented to their personal details being disclosed.'
This seems a bit risky to consent to. I put my application on hold at this point.
Any comments?0 -

It's about you keying applications for others and confirming they've said you can.0 -
Right, so the link to the NHS webpage that the article claims "has information on getting [an EHIC] replaced at short notice" has nothing of the sort, and even the app they offer for download (which I'd have trouble fitting into my phone) has a caveat that it isn't actually a replacement for the card itself...
My question therefore - have we any way of getting hold of a valid EHIC that doesn't take the better part of two weeks any more? And if I register online, can I at least use the app to get the details needed for the Provisional Replacement Certificate if it comes to that? I can't exactly get the card number etc if it's sitting in an envelope on my doormat at home.
(I'm going away tomorrow on a trip that was arranged at rather late notice, and the EHIC card that I'm sure was always popping up and getting in the way when I've been rooting around for other things lately is suddenly nowhere to be found... plus if it's not already expired, it will be very soon... thus I'm in a bit of a spot...)
Any suggestions gratefully received
...right, I'm off to charge my post office cashcard and get some backup Euros0 -
Insurers might punish you if you don't have an ehic card as you have not "minimised the loss"There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0

Hi, my daughter has a EHIC that is in date but she has recently turned 16 and has a new adult passport, will the card still be valid?0
