OS Daily Thursday 27th May

Hi there! This is the Old Style Daily Thread for Wednesday 26th of May.It is an 'Over the garden fence' type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new Daily Thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two Dailys' live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new Daily Thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “Hi everyone, hope you are all well” type start is just as good

Not sure if i'm supposed to do this, but i couldn't see one for today. First time i have been up before anyone else lol
Well its beautiful again today but VERY cold, could hear the chicks in my chimney pot chirping away.
As for OS stuff will be attempting to make the curtains today.
My hand is still very tender but i'm bored now :rotfl:

So going to make myself a cuppa and watch the robin attempt the pull the garlic out of one of my many broken pots.

Hugs to all who want them.
Get better soon LL, Diva, toots and penpen!

Good Morning Kezlou, sistercas and all to follow.
Been raining overnight, but the earth still looks dry so not overmuch. WM and DW are both whirring away. MY bible study group are meeting here tonight so need to fetch extra chairs in the livingroom and tidy up a bit. Why did I volunteer? Oh well...
Spoke to DS briefly yesterday, but he's clearly been heavily sedated just now. Hopefully they'll sort him out soon, bless him.
Need to do a little shopping but hopefully not a lot. May get to use my sewing machine this afternoon.
Hope you all have a good day. Take care of yourselves.

    Good Morning

Having a peaceful cup of tea while the rest of the house are asleep - won't last long though :o

Wet & cool start here but that doesn't worry me too much as once I've got essential office work done I am having a housework day. So stardrops and vinegar will be used, also soda crystals down the sink & will run the washing machine on the hottest cycle with soda crystals and vinegar. I am hoping to make up for my lack of ostlyness recently in one day :rotfl:

Garden has been planted, just need to sort the herb garden out now so I am managing to convince myself that I am glad it has rained;)

Dinner tonight is gammon, new pots and cauliflower cheese, have done my tesco online order but can't get it delivered till tomorrow. I'd left it too late and forgotten about the bank holiday.

Anyway, gonna have a quick look around the MSE boards till DD gets up.

    Have a great day.x

Beemuzed - havn't caught up with the thread recently so not sure what is wrong with your DS but (((hugs))) being sent his way.

Good luck to all with exams!

Having my first cuppa of the day, so starting to feel alive now. Sounds like DS2 has woken up, OH has been kicked out to work, whilst telling me NOT to wash up. i've been ordered to sit on my backside and do nothing.

Beemuzed:- hows your DS, is he okay?
essex-girl: -your making me jealous, i can't touch anything cos of my stinking hand(literally the cream is awful:o)
sistercas - hope all goes at the dentist
elona - nice to see you back
lindy-loo awww how cute with your little one. His victory wee dance. My DS2 had a dance as well. It was em quite amusing watching bemused onlookers as my little danced after using the loo.

Not sure what were having for tea, had pasta last night, so may try and attempt a curry . Its freezing, right now it 2 oC:eek:, please don't let it freeze again.

Ohhh its chilly this morning - rained last night though which is great for the garden. Cake sale at nursery today, so just in case we don't get any cakes, I was making cakes all yesterday. Some round ones, and some fairy ones - as long as its dry.....!

Cleaning house here today (rented house) and getting ready for our trip to our house. We're moving in August so I'm ensuring that we have packed cars everytime we drive up just in case we have to pay for the move ourselves. No matter what I try to do the childrens rooms ALWAYS need gutting every morning as they're such a mess.

Have to boil kidney beans ready for tonights chilli & rice. With this weather change I'll be glad of it. As usual, loads that I should be doing - well, better finish my coffee and get on then! Love and hugs to those who need it xx
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

    Morning all,

Its raining, bit of a shock to wake up to that this morning, at least the garden will enjoy it.

Off to work today, will have a tidy round before I go ,and put the dw on, will leave the wm till tomorrow in the hope that the weather clears up.

Burgers and chips for tea tonight, with peas I think. Sainsbugs are delivering too.

I only have one more day at work and then I am off for a week, I am so ready for that, its half term and we have lots planned.

Sistercas, good luck to your dd today, and all others doing exams.

Elona, I hope something turns up for you soon, and Happy Anniversary.

Hugs to all in need, have good days all xx

Thanks for asking about DS2 - he probably has bi-polar issues, so some highs, but mostly terrrible depressions. Also, chronic pancreatitis - very painful. Currently it's the head rather than the stomach that's causing the problems - his medication is clearly not right, so he's in a MH unit while they try to sort it out.

    Morning everyone.

A rare day off (with pay :j) for me today so not sure what to do with myself :rotfl: Want to squeeze as much from today as possible LOL! It's lovely and sunny here - not sure about the temp as haven't been out yet but will venture there in a mo to put the bins out. I am torn between staying at home and getting some housework done or taking the kids to the park or something and enjoying some alone time with no other kids in tow. Decisions, decisions..........
OS today? Well...erm.....erm I've got some washing to hang and another load to put on.
Not sure about tea tonight - not decided. Really need to get back into meal planning :o

Sorry haven't caught up with yesterdays thread yet so hugs for those that need them. Have a good day OS or not.
