Sorry this doesnt wash with me  martin has been on daybreak all week about mis sell so there will be hundreds of new people looking in to this now, just as we all did when he first brought mis sell to people on gmtv a long time agoGeraldBiggins wrote: »Hi, this is my first post. I actually work for this company. I'm one of the cold callers (I know, I know, I apologise)
But, in all honesty, it is an established business. It's not a bogus company, we have a team of 70+ phone operators and we phone around 160,000 people a day. Most of them tell us to eff off, but, the ones we help had no idea what PPI was and that they'd been paying for it. You're lucky, you guys are on the ball, you know exactly who has scammed you (the banks) out of your money, mis-selling you PPI. The people we phone don't have a clue that they've been mis-sold this policy. So doesn't the £299 seem worth that information? Otherwise they would have been completely oblivious and had 100% of nothing. I know they can do it for free, but they wouldn't have known about it if it wasn't for us cold calling them.
No i do not think it is worth £299 for writing a letter to a firm to claim mis sell, this is just a major con.You only have to read threads on this site about people who have been ripped off by the very people you work for  As for banks "scamming" people
The company you work for are doing just the same, no sorry, i take that back
the banks are "better", as you get money back from them, where they lose a big part of the win with claim companies. This is not a personal attack on you but on all claims cos 0 -

We have the same view of claims companies who cold call and encourage try-it-on and fraudulent claims. The people we phone don't have a clue that they've been mis-sold this policy
And most of them havent been. However, that wont stop you telling them they have been and thats before you even know what they have and how it was sold.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Just received a call from this lot. They got my nunmber cos an aunt told them (very wisely) that her nephew dealt with all her finance matters. They have recovered over £3000 for her and will post the cheque immediately, I just have to send them £198 for the paperwork. kept thenm on the phone for 30+ minutes and 3 different people, they started to get cross!. Refused to give them my mobile number. Asked for statement in writing by post of the monies recovered and their fees. They hung up!
This MUST be a scam. leave them well alone!

Then please explain why we are still waiting for the refund of £352.50 since returning the pack to you in early August by Recorded Delivery!GeraldBiggins wrote: »Money Claiming Experts has a 14 Day cooling off period. This is mentioned in every call.0 -
We are in the same position- charged £352.50 the day they cold-called us - before any paperwork was received. We cancelled by e-mail the next day, and sent the claims pack back within the 14 day cooling off period. But we are still waiting for a refund over 50 days later (should have been done within 30 days).
We have been repeatedly fobbed off with messages that the refund has been processed, but it never appears in our bank account.
Today I complained to the Ministry of Justice and they are going to investigate our case and try to help us because MCE have broken their rules; so we are waiting to see what happens next.
By the way Gerald Biggins we were NOT told about the 14 day cooling off period during our call, we found out about it by visiting the MOJ website after the call. We were also under the impression that we would get to see paperwork and sign an agreement before any fees were taken - that didn't happen either.0 -
UPDATE
just checked our bank account and the refund has come through at last!0 -
I too cancelled my claim pack the following day after being called. I was told I'd get my money back within 30 days. 3 weeks passed, my card was about to expire so I phoned them up with my new card details and was told I would have my money within the week. Weeks passed, I called again and was told my refund would be back in my account 30 WORKING days from when my card was changed. There was absolutely no need for it to take extra time, 30 days is supposed to be the MAXIMUM it takes. I phoned many times, I emailed them several times (and they were ignored), I wrote a letter of complaint and sent it to 3 different addresses that they have and didn't get it recorded delivery as I've heard they refuse to sign. Their email address on their website doesn't work, they've spelt it incorrectly! 'moneyCLAIMSexperts' not 'claiming'. I told them this, it so far hasn't been changed.
I sent an email to Watchdog but they didn't get back to me, I complained to the Ministry of Justice who upheld my complaint so if any of you are having problems, call them and get in touch with Watchdog because the more people who complain the more likely something will be done. Eventually, I sent sarcastic, obnoxious emails that also threatened legal action, told them they were being investigated by Watchdog and the MoJ and these actually did get replied to. After 69 days, I finally got my refund. The amount of times I asked them to get back to me and they didn't, I was supposed to have been notified in 3 working days that they had received my letter of complaint and they didn't. I was beginning to be at a loss as to how to get these people to pay up as they really avoided contact as much as possible. The MoJ are going to contact them now so perhaps this is why people are now getting their refunds. I'm still going to send this info to Watchdog as I think I'm one of the lucky ones to have got their money back. the 14 day cooling off period is a consumer right and they are blatantly disregarding this. If I had known just how difficult it was to get my money back I would never have touched them.
Please, if any of you are having trouble, get in touch with the MoJ and Watchdog because they can't do anything if people don't complain.0 -
Finally, after 13 weeks spoke to a customer services manager @ money claiming experts. Had tried many times before but found the phone line kept cutting off! It seems that all my waiting was in vain. Only now have i been informed that they can only work on cards that are pre 07, 3 of my cards are well after this and 1 in borderline within the date. It has taken MCE 13 weeks to notice this! They now blame the delay on the RBOS who are not responding (so they say) and wont/cant refund my £753 until they do. Funny though, she couldnt give me the contact details of their legal or admin department so I could call them and tell them to stop. She wouldnt give her second name or extension either, nor could she tell me which RBOS office was contacted and what reference number it was under so that I could chase them up to reply to MCE.
It is no more than a stalling tactic and I feel, to my shame, that I have been taken in by their promises of large refunds from CC's and mortgage.
I have to say their sales team is fantastic, it did not matter that I explained I never had PPi but they dangled the other carrots of miscalculation of interest and illegally raised credit limits without my consent to name but a few.
I believed I would get my big money windfall or my money back after the 12 weeks, so, can i get £753 returned to my credit card without having to sit back and wait until someone at MCE has the decency to refund it?0 -

You have bought a service and paid for that service. The fact the service was pointless and near fraudulent is largely irrelevent. You agred to it and you paid it.
You can make a complaint to the MoJ if you wish. That has resulted in others being pressured into getting refunds if the MoJ feels you have not been treated fairly within their rules.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
