Cunning plan Adam - so long as you don't get carried away with the credit limit (which is probably what I would do!)

Nah, I'm - now - good with cards.

Well done for getting the decision changed, the banking system just never ceases to amaze me! It's almost not the point that you don't need it now but the airmiles will certainly come in handy I am sure! :)

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

I almost kept my MBNA card to use like this as it was a cashback card and I have had a few vouchers from them over the years but decided I hated them so much I didn't want to! :rotfl:

The airmiles are definitely a good bonus so it's worth it for this card.

For now... Mwahahahahaha [evil laugh] I actually calculated today, after shuffling around some bills and recalculating my disposible income after my payrise, how much I have left after each month.

With meeting my £800 snowball, rent, bills and other commitments, I somehow have about £780 left

For now I will keep my snowball at £800 and just overpay this each month, but maybe in the new year I will recalculate it and see where we are for my slingshot into 2011 as we enter 12 months of mega debt busting to reach Dec11 to be debt free. As it currently stands I need to pay £1200 a month to do this assuming a £6k payment in October (bonus time).
