I think if you could pay from your salary you should have a serious think about going, especially as it's for a friend's birthday.

Would the fact that you overpaid so massively in October not make up for cutting into your snowball another month?

It may do. Just feel a bit wrong about booking holidays at the moment. I mean snowboarding is a huge passion of mine, but feel guilty doing it when I know I could be clearing debt sooner.

I have some stuff at home I could eBay, maybe about £500 worth, maybe I will get on with doing that or somethign to cover it.

I'm impressed, I didn't think you would need much persuasion Adam!

If you can cover it with Ebaying, then you've got nothing to lose have you? And its for a 30th birthday :)

I think that so long as you stick with paying from salary and try to offset the cost with ebay as much as possible then you should allow yourself to go.

If snowboarding is your thing then when the season is over then you won't be tempted anymore and can resume debt-busting :)

Ha ha it doesn't sound like it does it! :rotfl:

I think though that a key to successful debt-busting does involve the odd treat and living your life to some degree. I know in the long-run it may even add a couple of months to your DFD but also if it means that you'll stick to debt-busting and not have a huge blow out that could take ages to get back on track from because you've been too strict with yourself then its worth doing.

Especially if it's from salary and I definitely agree with attempting to off-set costs with ebay etc.

If any of that made any sense at all! :D

:rotfl: It didn't take much twisting though!

I think if there's a devil and an angel on your shoulders then unfortunately me and Woo really are the devils today!

Although reasonable devils who do understand DFDs and snowball payments.............
