What a lovely surprise to find £300 tucked away for a rainy day!
I know, she said she was really shocked! I'm glad I told her about it nowI think I would wet myself with excitement if I found out I had £300 somewhere that I didn't know about :rotfl:.

Nope, not long at all. I can't wait to go nowAlready got my dollarz sorted out and the holiday is paid for, so nothing left to pay which is always nice as in the past my holidays have all been on credit rather than wage moneys.

Thanks Woowoo
It's for our birthdays this year. I wanted to go to NY and my OH want's hawaii, so for our birthdays to each other we're going this trip! Makes sense then as we don't have to worry about buying gifts and what not, we just needed to save for the holiday.Adam's diary - My Debt Diary - The Challenge | LBM May 2010 with £23,343.35 | £16,141.46 to go...

Okay guys, so my monthly update awaits. It's not a great update from today, however, with my holiday in two weeks, I'm a little behind my snowball payments this month! Maybe at the end of the month I can pay a bit more, but for now, this is my update
My updated debt diary
Last update: 02-September-2010
£383.87 to Lloyds Loan - £18,137.81 @ 14.5% (down from: £18,831.22)
[STRIKE]Capital One CC - £0 @ 30% (down from: £968.83)[/STRIKE]
£45.45 to Egg Banking CC - £730.00 @ 21.90% (down from: £943.30)
[STRIKE]Lloyds TBS overdraft - £0 @ 12.3% (down from: £2,000)[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Loan from OH No.1 - £0 @ 0%[/STRIKE]
£200 to Loan from OH No.2 - £1,800 @ 0%
Total Debt: £20,667.81
So, I managed to get to sub £21k, however, this wasn't a difficult task as I was close to it anyway. Anyway, snowball has not shifted, partly because I've not made my £800 this month, and as I'm still only going to stick to paying £800 a month rather than £900 for the next 31 months it doesn't really make a difference, despite the odd £40 over payments.... I could stretch this to more, but don't want to add this to the snowball and give myself false hope, still, April 2013 is still better than what it was... Never mindAdam's diary - My Debt Diary - The Challenge | LBM May 2010 with £23,343.35 | £16,141.46 to go...

Don't be down Adam!
As I just said over on my diary - knocking a month off your DFD and going sub 21K is still a massive achievement :T
And the holiday is well deservedDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
Thanks Beccie - maybe if I didn't go on holiday I would have knocked a lot more of this date - still, don't know what bonus I'm getting yet, so maybe if it is big enough I can make some good overpayments in October, and I always have a hopeful payrise to look too...Adam's diary - My Debt Diary - The Challenge | LBM May 2010 with £23,343.35 | £16,141.46 to go...
