Hello,
I've spent 45p on a bag of crisps for my lunch but I'm picking up some free ski clothing this evening (thank you free cycle). hopefully save about £100 there.
Cheers,

I've used my 'spare' time at work to write a letter to my bank demanding some unfair charges back. And tonight I'm sorting out my taxback so hopefully some money there. Printed off the bank letter on the work printer, used a work envelope and it was freepost
Read all the newspapers at work so didn't have to buy them, also the tea and coffee at work is free.
But I did buy a can of coke so could do better!0 -
What a brilliant motivational thread this is!!
Today I went to a smaller Boots in Newcastle to get my Time Delay face wipes £3.99 per pack. I used my £5 skincare voucher against two packs so only had to pay £2.98 for two packs. I haven't yet taken my £10 weekly spending money from my bank account yet, so this was taken from last weeks money!!!
Then I went to the larger Boots in Newcastle to do the same, as well as noticing that Botanics makeup is greatly reduced. So, once again I picked up my two packs of Time Delay face wipes and 2 Botanics eyeliners (reduced to £1.25 each). When I got to the checkout the eyeliners were further reduced to 50p but the SA disputed using the £5 voucher against two packs of me wipes. Luckily the lovely Supervisor read the back and said to try and put it though and WEEEEEEEHEEEEEEEEEE of course it worked!!!
Therefore only paying £3.98!!
Now this has only happened because I went to the larger Boots yesterday to buy a birthday present for a 1 year old and there were unbelievable offers for baby/toddler clothing (Osh Kosh/Disney etc)where I got about half a dozen Christmas presents and the birthday presents for just over £20, therefore putting it all through over 2 transactions I received my 2x£5 skincare voucher!!!
So I can't really guage how much I have saved over the past two days but its been a good start to my Christmas shopping!!!
Happy saving everyone!!DEBT FREE SINCE SEPTEMBER 2015 :beer::beer::beer:0 -
I have a tree in my garden that i want taking down, and a bloke from work used to be a tree surgeon, so by the looks of it will get advice/tools/expertise from him, yay!
Getting a tree surgeon in would have cost me ££££!"I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something."0 -
Today I have saved
£1. 50 bus fayre by walking to work
70p taking a dinner to work rather than buying one there
£2.20
However I feel i saved alot more than that as i didn't take my purse to work so I wasn't tempted to buy a magazine or a book (from the local charity shop - I have a thriller addiction!) :T0 -
70p for dinner? That's probably cheaper than making a sandwich!"I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something."0

I pay board at home (living with parents) so food is actually included. So to pay for a lunch at work is actually paying twice.0

Perhaps you should consider increasing your board to cover the additional cost of packed lunches:rolleyes:   :beer:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser.
