these dizzy spells ... they seem to be happening mainly at night ... but through the day i am getting light headed ... have googled it and it appears i am lacking sugar .... now i can kinda agree with this as i have been cutting back on sugar and i am addicted to it ... although my intention is to be able to report in the new few weeks was addicted to it ...
i am looking this week at an eating plan which has been designed with diabetics in mind (i think this added to the low blood pressure might just be the problem)
i will be sorting it and making plans this weekend as i dont want to ever have to spend my life on tablets unless i have no other choice ... and if it is stage two diabetes then i have a choice (if i make the changes soon)0 -
Well that's the first night shift done ... Two more to do ... Read a good bit of the book tonight ... Got my head around a good bit of it... More Reading and some writting to do tonight ... Oh and get some Uni work done too ( that just isn't going away)0

yay great news ... i had written on the d.i.y thread looking for advice ... followed the advice given and saved us hundreds of pounds ... yay yay yay ...
have a guy coming out on tuesday as well to have a look at the freezer £35 call out fee and hopefully he can fix it ... if so it will be much cheaper than buying a new one ... we did phone around a few the last few weeks but they all advised just getting a new one (thats why i was thinking about getting the new one) but hubby said today nope i want to get out of debt as quickly as we can so let's try it again ... surely one person will be able to help ... so he phoned around and got someone
now if i just get the insurance to pay out then all will be well with our wee bit of the world

Really annoys me when they trot out the "get a new one luv" line - when all you need is a good ole-fashioned fix-it guy.
I had a mini-success with a gelato ice-cream maker. Me and the kids love ice-cream but I lusted after a maker for years so that I could make "healthier" and cheaper types. Got given one that didn't work from local charity - it was on its way to landfill. It took my "pet" electrician about 7 minutes to solder the connections - cost me a huge thank-you and a litre of homemade strawberry yogurt for his kids.
I love "Making do and Mending" - especially as it doesn't mean doing without - it means reusing what others don't want to create a better life for me and the boys..
Loving your diary - I used to read you when pregnant with the littlie - Consider me you own personal cheering squad -:j Should have pompoms really - LOL

Morning El, I used to read your previous diary.
Well done with the DIY success and for getting a man who does to come and look at the freezer

Hi memory girl hi what a twit ... Thanks for posting ... Yep making do and mending is something I have been into for a while but not always managed to suceed with ... I don't know if it's the lack of money or if it is a change in thought processes ( or even changed in thought processes forced through lack of money) but I am most deff not the same person I was five years ago ... My priorities have totally changed ... Need to ask memory girl is the ice creammaker amazing ? I keep thinking of getting one

Hi El- it took me a bit to get used to the new forum and find your diary
A belated good luck with all your goalsxx
I am sure we will be able to go along on this journey togetherWith your energy and determination, it will go down.
I think you make a very good point about being aware of the debt, a lot of the time i have a struggle with the fact that i no longer look for quick fixes- by resorting to credit cards. I get edgy if my current account goes below a certain level- i call it my buffer zone and it is there for emergencies..but i have criteria about those emergencies.
Nature is wonderful and i plan to get into it this afternoon if the weather stays clearBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

bob u naturing again ... i am soooo jelous ... i only natured last monday and friday and i missed it so much the rest of the week ... am going for a walk tomorrow at the local wild bird reservation so hopefully that will help a bit ... but i am finding i am really really missing it ... it also feels as if all the great time i had since january is slowly slipping from my memory to be replaced with the usual bill paying house sorting etc ... and i really dont want that
well second night shift done ... one more to to go .. there is loads of overtime going due to holidays etc and i really could be doing with the money ... but i just honestly dont want to .... its not that i hate my job ... i dont love it but i dont hate it ... i think it is more about what i have literally just wrote about i miss being outside ... i miss spending time learning about flowers trees animals etc .. seeing if i can spot things seeing what i know ... and when ever i see the overtime sheet or get asked to cover its like a little voice in my head says " are you off your head ? yeah money is handy but what will you miss out on?"
but i need to do something if we are going to get in control of our money situation ... that is also worrying me ... so i think i am going to have to think outside the box for a bit ... something that will fulfill me and yet provide for me to be able to pay the debt off0
