just spoke to hubby and he is in agreement with most things ... the only thing he doesnt like the idea of is taking out anything for the freezer ... he says we will just have to get by with what we have for as long as we can ... (kinda my point too) but that when the time comes then the argos card will be the way forward ... he is going to speak to his mum about the overdraft as soon as he can.. so finally i feel like i am making some headways in with it all ... he is going to look for a cheaper part for the car to see if he can find it anywhere ... and he started a thread (in my name) about getting the alarm fixed he wants to try and fix it as cheaply as possible .. go us .. were learning

i think the dizzy spells could be stress related ... didnt have any yesterday at all (was relieved about that) but last night i was lying in bed and my mind started to go crazy worrying about things etc ... my head started to hurt and i started feeling dizzy ... so i need to find ways to de-stress ... tried deep breathing that helped a bit will try and focus more on that for now ...

today i am going to buy another light for outside the house for security gonna go through quidco get some cash back (probably very little though) and i am going to buy the safe that i was in the process of buying on tuesday when the car decided to play silly beggers

will check banking (have a cry over that one i think) do my scratch card and see what else i can start to get sorted

just checked the bank and my wages were in ... yay ... there was also more than i expected ... they mustve paid me the money they owed me finally ... so with the whole extra £49 i am transferring it to the overdraft ok it isnt much but it helps kick the interest from the 18.9% down a touch ... hubby spoke to mil she seems fine with the plan and did state she had offered to help us out ... were gonna wait till we need all the money from her before we get rid of the overdraft as otherwise we would be back and forward and it would get confusing for her (and possibly us) that should be in a week or two so i will try and feed wee bits into the overdraft in the meantime

still need to come up with a plan to find the £200 a month though ... i think i need a cunning plan where's bob when you need her

oh and the scratch card wont let me withdraw ... bah humbug ... dont really want to phone up about it just incase

Hi Elantan, I'm normally a lurker but just wanted to say the word 'crap' about the burglary. We were burgled 13 years but I still remember the feeling I had to come home find someone had rifled through everything. I used to smoke at the time and I remember feeling most galled about the fact that they'd taken a duty free box of 200 cigarettes! Are you installing the safe and lights because your insurer has told you too and or so as to make you feel safer?

My more main point was concerning the freezer. Could you not see if there's one going spare on Freecycle, save you parting with cash for a new one? Could give you a bit of breathing space.
It's wouldn't have not wouldn't of, shouldn't have not shouldn't of and couldn't have not couldn't of. Geddit?

hi birdy , thanks for dropping by also ... sorry to hear you were burgled as well ... yeah its amazing how its the simple things that get us ... i was more upset about my cameras than my jewelry ...

the safe lights camera's etc are for hubby ... he hasnt slept and is now a bag of nerves ... he has started sleeping with a baseball bat beside the bed .. heaven only knows why he wouldnt use it (he's not a violent man) but it seems to give him comfort ... i think he needs to feel secure now and he is doing all he can to make that happen ... so whilst it isnt vital in some ways we get the stuff it is in other ways
i had thought of freecycle but our local one hasnt had anything like a freezer for ages ... it tends to have wanted 42inch lcd samsung tv adds more than anything else ... i am saying this but things might have changed i stopped checking out freecycle when this happened cause it just got me angry ... and i felt it was not in the spirit that freecycle was intended ... might retry though ... thanks for the reminder

hi elantan, good to see you back but not under these circumstances. Sorry to hear about the burglary.
Qn about the scratch card - is it the V1rgin one? as i've been unable to withdrawn mine this week as well, says i've exceeded my withdrawal limit. I've read that they are shutting down the likes of us so haven't wanted to phone up either.

I know what you mean about freecycle, i used to list loads and the 'sob' stories occassionally wound me up when it was the same person with a different story, i never managed to get anything from there either. Maybe there will be a freezer will be advertised just when you need it most.

    Hi elantan

Sorry to hear about the burglary - have you thought of putting a wanted add on freegle (freecycle) that way you might get to hear of a freezer coming up. Another place to look is the British Heart Foundation Furniture shops - there are always loads of freezers in my local one and I was looking at a large chest freezer today but I have nowhere to put it although I did cast envious looks at it.
