Failing Freecycle, what about ebay? I've had loads of stuff very cheaply off ebay that doesn't look so good but still works fine. Chest freezers aren't so popular these days so you might pick one up for a tenner or so.

Will reply properly when I get home ... But have a wee confession to make re freezer ... I am only 5 ft 1 and absolutely petrified of falling into a chest freezer so it needs to be one of those upright ones ... Have tried to reach things in chest freezers and I literally dangle I acnt reach the bottom unless my feet are off the floor ... Yes you have my permission to laugh ... Will catch up when I'm home just buying the safe etc just now

    Hi elantan

Sorry to hear about the burglary - have you thought of putting a wanted add on freegle (freecycle) that way you might get to hear of a freezer coming up. Another place to look is the British Heart Foundation Furniture shops - there are always loads of freezers in my local one and I was looking at a large chest freezer today but I have nowhere to put it although I did cast envious looks at it.

hey horace welcome ... never actually thought about the british heart foundation or anything like that might just have a wee squizz in the local one to me ... i think they have a chrisitan shop or something up the street .... i'll let you have the chest freezer .. they scare me lol

    hi helen ,
i dont know why i didnt think of this as i looked at ebay yesterday to try to find the part i need for the car cheaper ... shouldve checked for freezers as well ...

incidently they did have the part for the car £130 which is half price not including vat of what i was quoted ... hubby however is going to try the scrap yards at the weekend and see if he can find the part on another car ... if not ebay it will be

so .. there i was cleaning the house (i know its a shock) i leaned over to clean the table and... one of the two pairs of trousers that arnt narnia (see hypnos thread) burst ... i am down to one pair of trousers ... how ridiculous is this i have a full wardrobe in various sizes and one pair of trousers that fit me ...

coupled with the dizzy spells ( have been looking into this) i think it might be time for me to make a concerted effort to loose weight ...

i have zoomba class tonight never been before but a girl from college invited me so i think i will go ...gonna wear the ripped trousers for one last time ... i will need to hope for sun so i can wear shorts
