Hi everyone

just a quick update for you.

Was at court at 10.30 this morning. I felt so sick!! The court clerk was lovely though. I did have to see the Judge.. I know quite a few people on these forums didn't have to see the Judge.. but I did at my court. She was fine too.. i felt a bit like a naughty school child, but she just said to co operate with the OR and all should go smoothly.

Court clerk said the OR will ring me within 2 to 4 hours.. so just waiting on that now.

Can i just ask.. i have got the Bankruptcy Order on Debtors Petition (the a4 piece of paper)... is that the offical thing to say i'm bankrupt.. or to say i'm going through bankruptcy. Do I get another thing similar when all is done with the OR?

I guess what i'm trying to ask.. is am i now classed as bankrupt or will i be classed as bankrupt when I've had the OR interview.

me and my wife were declared bankrupt last wednesday and are now awaiting the official reciever to give us the call.

all we have had so far are the calls regarding our cars which we both need but is causing us stress at the moment awaiting to find out what will happen.

We were both in a IVA but realised all we were paying were costs to the IVA company for the next 4 years and nothing to the creditors we owed so we was advised a BR was the best way.

i cant say too much on here at present

That is your BR order, you will not get anything else, it should have a number in the top right hand corner, something like 232 of 2010, and your court details should also be on it as well.

Hi thats great thanks...

Had an initial phone call from the OR office to ask me my details and go over the bank accounts i have etc and said i'll get another phone call in 2 days to arrange the OR interview!...

EEEk.. can't believe its all finally happening.. should have done this years ago.

Well, that's it! I'm done. I'm bankrupt Whole thing took under and hour. Everyone extremely friendly in the court. Spoke to the OR -- just basic details -- and am now waiting to hear about my appointment. Feeling very relieved and happy to be able to answer the phone again!

Nice to know there's others out there in the same boat if you know what i mean- my BR date was 9th June got interview with OR interview next week.
It was horrible having to go to court and see a judge plus announcing to the usher in a busy waiting room that it was a BR order. The OR rang me yesterday to arrange the tel interview date and was really nice even advised me to get some cash together now before my account gets frozen.

Am currently in the process of changing all DD's over to new Co-op Cashminder account which involves listening to all kinds of hold music but i know my call is important to them lol

I got a letter through from the Land Registry today telling me that my property is possibly affected by the BR order - is this normal?

The house is in negative equity anyway so have been advised they won't sell it.

Just went through my monthly outgoings again without having to add on the creditors repayments amount - first time it actually feels good to be BR seeing that

Hi,

I am going to court tommorrow to go BR. I have finally accepted my situation as it has been a long time coming. My partner went BR in Feb so he has let me know what to expect tommorrow which helps. My credit is terrible now anyway as I have missed payments for nearly 2 years so this is the only way I can start a new. At least I should feel better on Friday and hopefully the pestering letters and calls will stop soon. Cara
