  • :rotfl:How long was it on average before they hung up though?;)

Sometimes within seconds, at other times they try and lecture me that my lack of co-operation is not doing me any favours! I very rarely even got to the stage of answering security questions, in the past I have refused to give out my details citing the Data Protection Act or by asking them to send me signed authorisation from the CEO of their company that they as an individual have the authority to discuss my account. Pretty much just spoke a load of cobblers to them, but if they insisted on calling when i'd sent letters saying i'd only deal in writing..... :rotfl:

Anyone else had a letter from The Bankruptcy Protection Fund Limited?

I assume these people are lowlife scum, but was surprised that they wrote to me so quickly, given that I only went bankrupt on Tuesday and today is Thursday.

Is my bankruptcy already online somewhere?
  • If you search the insolvency website you might be on there, i'd be surprised if you appeared on there that quickly though for a letter to have reached you today. What did the letter say?

I just did a search and I am on there. The letter must have been posted yesterday, i.e. the day after I went bankrupt. The gist of the letter was that they could use equity in my property (I don't own one) to cancel my bankruptcy. No doubt they will charge a large fee for this.

I'm still bitter that -- in fear and panic and ignorance -- I paid an insolvency practitioner £500+VAT to fill out my forms for me, which must have taken all of half an hour.

How these people live with themselves I don't know.
  • Today's the day! Getting the train at 11.30. Hope it's not too hard to find where I need to go once I get to the court.

I went to court yesterday and went BR. It went smoothly although I had to hang around for a while. At least its out of the way now and I can move forward.
