Many thanks for the recipe, I will give it a go. I have had a few disasters 2day! I made ice cream cone cupcakes that grew so large and spilled over!! Then the batch of vanilla cupcakes I made had a really hard crust 2 them even though I baked at a lower temp???
I must get this right or I will never make a business from this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -

Hi everyone,
Loving the cakes. Especially the Mermaid Cake (might just pinch that idea for my Daughters Birthday nexy year! lol) and the 3 tier Cake with flowers on top, looks very professional!
Here is a Tinkerbell cake I made for my Daughters birthday last weekend....

I bet the tinkerbell cake went down a storm! I love dollcakes, little girls go gaga for them!
Following tip is not hinting at tinkerbells hair condition - her hair looks beautiful!
A tip i picked up online for preparing a doll for a cake - if her hair has gone a bit frizzy (like most barbie hair does!) hold her over steam! This tames it really well. I also dilute fabric softener and brush it through to help stop frizz too!0 -
I noticed a lot of the other crafty threads to a weekly challenge and I wondered if anyone would be up for anything similar?Debt free wannabe

Oh wow amazing cakes!!
I just wondered where everyone buys their supplies from? I'm looking for edible glitter, I've bought a few flower cutters etc from ebay so far.

edible glitter i got some from hobbycraft still sitting in my cupboard to be honest so no idea how good it is. The cakes all look great wish I had a little girl to make the doll cakes for but I think my little boy would give me a funny look if I made him one.2011 wins. Trivial pursuit card game
Thanks to everyone who posts:T0 -

Hobbycraft is very pricey, although I do go there occasionally. Ebay can be good but you'll need to have a good search through to get the best pricesI get lots of crafty bits on ebay.
I have bought gillter from www.mumswhobake.co.uk and they're a very good price, but the cutters on there are about the same as high street prices...._____________________________________________party_ Handmade Christmas and Occassions 2011 _party_OS Moneysaving as much as I canGonna live 'The Good Life' - grow my own and 4 hens
