They're really good odollybird. I especially like your black and White cupcakes :)

After my last night panic I am please to say that the cakes went down REALLY well. I'm so chuffed I was up till 12.30am and I tried out loads of new techniques... Making models with rice krispie treats, making, dying and working with modelling chocolate (so easy!!)

Here are my cakes from last night

Very impressed. Can't believe you did both of those in one evening!!!!!!!! It takes me at least a week to finish a Cake off, plus my kitchen ends up looking like it's been ram raided .

Hope you had a good time Stardrops, where abouts in spain did you go?

The thread has been really quiet - sometimes i swear it's just me posting :)
  • thanks for the help everyone, I'll go back to google.

Maybe no one replied as they didnt have any experience of it or hadnt heard of it before. I certainly couldnt think of any reason why colouring would completely change colour. People on these forums are really helpful and friendly to the extreme so there is no need to be rude.

Beautiful cakes, love them both, also love Odolly's aswell.

As for cocoa powder I bought this one from Asda for the cake last night, and it is very chocolaty, but I suppose it depends on how chocolatey is chocolatey, the chocky cola cake we made is (ahem) very sickly and chocolatey!!

It is £1.48 for a box ;) although most of my box is gone which is probably why the above cake is so sickly lol
