Hi everyone. Does anyone favour M&B fondant here? I have discovered it and found it works really well for me and tastes better, and the colours are vibrant! My supplier telkls me it's not everyones cup of tea though. If you do use it, where do you buy it from.
I think i have found the cheapest sugarcrft supplier online - and happens to be 15 miles from me so I can collect in a emergency! although at £1.95 delivery its cheaper to get delivered. They seem to sell out quite quickly though and then takes another week or so to get more stock in..... so where can i look as a back up?
    I use http://www.cakecraftstore.co.uk

Thanks for the likn going to have a nosey now. Havent used M&B fondant before sorry do you find it nicer than supercook etc? Have you got a homepage that you post your pics of your cakes on please, love looking at cakes.
    Thanks

arrghghh the multi-quote thing ddint work!!

hmm got to try n remember what i read! firstly thanks for the comments on the cakes :)

ive used M&B...thats all i used to use at first till i could get my hands on regalice! theres colours in M&B that you cant get with regal....like purple, burgundy, hot pink. Though Regalice have just released some new fondant colours!...duck egg, teal, fuschia etc, so im giving a few a go.

as for the figures, most of the time i tend to make them straight on the cake....that way its easier to get them to 'interact' with it more if that makes sense? LOL

rice krispies....i had a few block of rice krispie 'squares' in the cupboard....so just used those! though i think there will be plenty of recipes on the internet for them, and apparently its dead easy to make....but a little sticky LOL

photos....im interested in photography too aswell as cake making so they both go hand in hand really! i bought a lighting set up from a friend..wasnt particularly for the cake pictures but now thats all i ever seem to use it for! LOL

I go to a Monday morning home group, so I always take a cake or something.
Here's what we have tomorrow. They are supposed to be vines, but I need a bit more practice :o

could anyone help please? My year 6 class are hoping to run an after school tuck shop. We would like to do some baking to sell on it. I was thinking maybe cupcakes or something else that would last a couple of days? I am a terrible cook so wondered if anyone could suggest simple recipies or ideas. Thank you

Not sure if someone on here can help me, would be really grateful if you could. Wanted to know about what records people keep as my EHO just said to basically keep a diary but didn't mention fridge checks or anything and not sure whether I should be doing this on a daily basis or whether I do it when I cook. Would love some advice on this as doing first official baking next week, everything else has been practising or for friends. Got an article going in local paper this week and had photographer out ton Friday to take pics, its all systems go and I am very excited but do have moments when I think what am I doing!!

Also was thinking we could set up a list of everyones pages/ websites for all to see, I try to click on a lot but quite often forget and would be good to get some sort of list going??

Oh another question I wanted to ask to people generally make fairy cake sized cupcakes or muffin case sized cupcakes, if that makes sense???
    Thanks in advance!
    Great cakes as always everyone!

I do cupcakes in muffin cases. If I'm baking for the kids I put them into the silicone cases, which are smaller, so make half the amount.

youre the lady making cake pops?

if so, then it doesnt really matter on the type of butter (basics range stuff works just as well), as you arent using the buttercream for flavour or colour, more as glue - but most people opt for unsalted
