You're getting boring now. His statement was very clear and precise.
I suggest you get some life behind you, ie experience, then with a bit of hindsight you might grow up:cool:
I'm grown up enough to know that we ALL have a responsibility to address the issues that face us, grown up enough to realise that problems don't just go away if you do nothing, grown up enough to want to live within a community that cares and grown up enough to understand the role that we ALL play in realising that desire.
Perhaps you would understand that if you pulled your head out of [STRIKE]your own ars[/STRIKE]... the sand.0 -
Prove it!! Evidence:cool:
All the evidence backing MY arguement suggests that throughout a period of nearly 10 years NOBODY, ie NOBODY within that House Assoc took this womans problems seriously - ending in tragedy.
They had a responsibility towards this woman who was clearly vulnerable. They had a remitt to ensure the safety of their residents, leave alone thier right to "quiet enjoyment" of her property.
To be left hounded by morons, equally, under thier assured "tenancy agreements" and not to have intervened is a shame on them.
We, as the public have a duty to look out for eachother - that goes by the wayside at times as we've seen.
However, these Social Landlords have a duty and a duty of care to look out for, particularly vulnerable people -and they failed, miserably.
I'm not here to apologise for the behaviour for RSL's in each and every instance, in this instance they did fail her. but you seem to have off your original point a bit, to the extent I'm not sure what you're talking about.
Are you talking about budgets, care, maintainence, supporting people or ASB ?.Because you seem to be veering all over the place."An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".
!!!!!! is all that about?0 -

There were serious failing from both the Police and the HA in the Pilkington case. That cannot be denied. But, a stronger community would have protected her far more efectively than any authority ever could. THAT is the major failing, and THAT is something we should ALL learn from.0 -

A couple of the neighbours voicing the same complaint, and little Tommys feet don't touch the ground! As a result, little Tommy soon learns that whatever he does gets back to his mum/dad and his behaviour is self modified for fear of the consequencies. Mum and/or dad are happy because no-ones complaining and it's been nipped in the bud before it got seious enough for the Police to come knocking, the neighbours are happy because Tommy stops whatever Tommy was doing, and Tommy's happy because his mum and/or dad aren't chastising him. Win, win, win.
You're either extremely naive or you live in some picturesque midsummer murders type village (minus the murders of course)
This really does not happen now anymore!!
You'll be lucky if Tommy's dad doesn't knock you out, then his mum will no doubt set the staffies on you!Future Mrs Gerard Butler

Team Wagner
[/STRIKE] I meant Team Matt......obviously :cool:0 -
Wake up and smell the coffee!!
I hope for your sake you don't take this approach without careful consideration.
I'll leave you to it now as you're just annoying
Ciao
My "careful consideration" is nothing more than a desire to live in a stroing, safe community and the responsibility I have towards making that a reality, for myself, and my community.0 -

Nope, a good, old fashioned, working class corner of an area of extreme social deprivation, surrounded by all the usual issues of unemployment, drugs, teen pregnancy, crime etc etc.0 -

No - that is something we should have all learnt from BEFORE Fiona's case came to light. That's what makes it all the more tragic.
& YOU are just as responsible as anyone to stop this happening but your arguements suggest others.
I'm not sticking around to educate the next generation of these failures, its not my job. You need to have more compassion, an understanding of others lives over and above your own. You only get that through experiencing life - all of it.
LOL. A very confusing post.
Yes, I am as responsible as anyone else for my community, I've made that perfectly clear.
But then YOU go on to say, in essence, "stuff the community, it's not MY job"... before twatting on about compassion and understanding of other peoples lives.
Seems to me that your only experience of other peoples lives is that of a ghoulish voyeur, watching all around you collapse into chaos as a source of entertainment while doing nothing constructive yourself. Then, as the icing on the cake, you get to point and say "See? I knew that would happen".... lol.0 -
So are you extremely socially deprived, unemployed, take drugs, are pregnant and commit crime yourself.??
Just wondering, in that case it's hard to see the wood from the trees:o
That would explain, perhaps, your outlook. It's a shame, you do sound, otherwise, somewhat intelligent - get outta there.:T
I do have compassion, if that's what you mean.0 -
I never said that and if you get a kick out of changing posts and want to waste your time doing so then I suggest you get a life. It's a beautiful day, go for a walk.:o
You're a nasty character, vindictive, arguementative, confrontational and have some chip on your shoulder. I hope you can find peace withing yourself as life is hard enough. You only get one chance.
I've quoted your post in my reply. Perhaps you could tell me what it is in my reply you now think you didn't say?0
