The aubergines were a particularly good price - I paid about £1.20 for one at Sainsbury's a couple of weeks ago.

Normal price today at my Asda (£3.50 for a meal for one, £7 for 2...). I did notice they were saying that 'new' counter mains were now £2 each (used to be £2.69 I think but never bought them on their own).

Does anyone know if it's same size portion? I didn't buy any and counter looked very empty (maybe run down their stock with the deal earlier in the week). If the deal had been on might have put some in the freezer.

Glad I wasn't entirely in the wrong place then- I must say tho, stay away from some potatoes at 27p if they are "harmony" they are really wet and really don't make good jackets.....our Asda had more than one type and you had to look at the packaging anything else from there I have found to be fine...but "harmony" you may as well have boiled or cooked your Jacket in the microwave (crispy skin fans)
  • The offer was still being displayed in my Asda tonight....ie 2 for £4, but got charged £7 on my receipt. Phoned and will get a refund next time I'm in, but just remember to check your receipt.....just in case :)
    Saved £££'s using coupons/discount codes/cashbacks
Done the Edinburgh Moonwalk 2010(yeh !)
Signed up to do....Woman's 10K Glasgow run
Great Scottish Run and St Andrew's Hospice 6K run and Midnight walk (13 mile)

Just been to look at the variety I got - sigh of relief, they are Saxon and not Harmony!! Thanks Miss Laid! Also thanks again Katylou, I got some of the £1 sausages you were chastised for adding to the thread! I'd have missed those if you hadn't mentioned them.

Wasnt too impressed with the tomatoes they were all quite soft. Spring onions were good though.
