Oh aren't they just precious Valli!! lol..

OH's car insurance sorted.. see how efficient I am he didn't even need his mum to nag him to death about it.. I just went and quidco'd away my evening lol.. worked out very slightly more than last years but all is good :D

KH brought the bag round so I can fill it with pretties for his brothers wedding next weekend.. Tiddles will be over the moon to be wearing her pretty party dress.. Goodness knows what the other 6 will be wearing!

In addition to funding the other half of DD2's trip, DS2's extortionate uniform and buying shoes for these centipedes.. I now have been informed on nd July it is DD1's prom which she wasn't going to blahblahblah.. and can she have a dress, hair done, new shoes and £40 ticket price.... oh I will just poop out a few more £10 notes dear.. yes of course!!

I think KH may need to get his hand in his wallet and start contributing because this year is going to financially cripple me.. we haven't even got everything for the baby yet and I have barely started on christmas!!!!.. I'm usually half done by now!

Phew what a day! For the kitchen/dining area I've managed to wash the pots all day and since we've eaten that needs doing again!

What has caused it. At 11am I had an interview, industry I've worked in before. Within the first few minutes they told me I needed Sage, something I don't have. Told them it wasn't mentioned on job ad and eventually a member of staff said she hadn't put it on. Continued interview in a flogging a dead horse sort of way and then came home pee'd off cos am fed up of pointless interviews that I might as well not bothered going to. Mr S took me for pub lunch to cheer me up and half way thru meal got a phone call from a recruitment agency- that I only filled in details with last week saying she has a client interested and would I be interested in a job that's just 1 day a week at first, possibly developing into more at a later stage, so said yes and to cut a long story short have interview tomorrow. Not getting my hopes up cos see bit about pointless interviews and only RL people I've told are hubby cos he was with me when I got call, and both mums, mine cos she goes away tomorrow and we overlap so I'll not see her for a fortnight and MIL cos we may be depending on her for emergency childcare till I can sort something ....and cos I'm not prepared to lose a chance at a job so if need be I will work this week.

On the plus flying front hubby has ironed just about everything, so the conservatory/utility area is looking a lot better, if not quite immaculate.

Will catch up with you all tomorrow and let you know how things went.

Hi all, well i decided not to do the fridge today, but did swipe the hob and oven. Will do the fridge tomorrow.
My hand is throbbing again and barclaycard have mucked up my payment so looks like another £12 charge for me .Will phone up collections tomorrow and kick off as i'm sick to death of them.

DS1 made him and his little brother tomato soup for they tea, i just sat with a cuppa watching them while they ate. DS2 managed not to rip the skin off my hand today, only just though. Ended up bawling at him, didn't mean to but i was in so much pain. DS2 loves to drag me by the hand to look at things, the poor thing.,So i gave him a massive hug and made both boys hot chocolate.
    Its still freezing here brrrr

jojo -congrats on finishing the paper :T:T

  • I am a silly sausage.

Just checking on the course website for news from the other students, clicked on a few links.

And registered for a higher level course in Environmental Sciences to start in February, but because that leaves me with four months without classes, have registered for two short courses, one involving designing, conducting and reporting on an environmental topic of my choice.

Why do I keep doing this to myself?
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Froddington, do you think the 2 things were connected??:D

I doubt it! I live much further away from school than the parents and I managed to get home in time for kick off! To be fair, I was only expecting 2 or 3 to come (for various reasons) but still ...........

the 10cm is just me being anal...

    more funnies

we're 'doing' databases - we've learned how they work (well, I say we, some of us already knew;)) and now we're building our own, so 'we're' collecting information about party food choices. The kids are asking question (What is your favourite sandwich filling?) and giving a multiple choice tick list of options - chikin seems to be a favourite anyway one boy decided to ask what flavour crisps people would like so asked me how to spell cocktail. Now as this is a compound word (c0ck+tail) Mrs V said (because they should try to work out possible spelling options, we teach phonics) how do you spell 'c0ck' cue guffaws from his pal sitting next to him. After we had established that he could spell 'c0ck' then we moved on to 'tail' - well you can imagine how his pal reacted to this further 'filth'
I should get the Best Actress Oscar this year, no question...

ETA congrats Jo-jo, but you're mad you should have a break and what's with the Martin quote in your siggy please?
