Quite like the colours on here, but I can't see any avatars - can everyone else? I actually have to read your names now!!

You may need to reset your preferneces in User CP. Does that work, otherwise PM me and I'll see what I can suggest ;)
Both of them are glowing and full of praise. So I'll get them a special treat at the weekend. I'm very proud, the comments from the Head were fantastic.

Well done to you all

    Evening all.

I'm still tired. Although I went to bed early, I woke up just after 5am. It was v. light outside, the birds were singing like they were on a mission to be the loudest bird in the village so I got up. Am suffering for it now. Weather was bright but now looks a little stormy - I'm hoping we have a thunderstorm tonight because although it's cooler, it's quite humid.

DD got home safe from Spain and had a good time.I wonder why her present-from-holiday to me was booze???? I guess she knows me too well!

Have done diddly-squat (apart from decluttering some phone calls) since I got in from work. But hey, I worked like a Trojan last weekend.

Am going to do dinner and then have another early night I think. Hope all are well xx

Okay I did really well (in my eyes anyway) the first week and then things went to pot - oops. then last week I was on holiday so I have found my way back here feeling very mad with myself. I have just spent all night reading the posts on here (and yes I do realise I could have been doing todays list) and am starting afresh tomorrow. May take a while to catch up on two days worth of stuff but I will get there eventually.

No such thing as failure on here ;) Is your home in a better state than before this thread - if yes, then the thread is working and you're a success :T and remember that you can't do the lists and keep up with the thread, especially as a relative new starter to the regime :p

I almost forgot about you all:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I have been kinda tied up elsewhere:cool:

    Tell us more ....................
You made a good decision not to come last weekend! Saturday was races - so town was mega-busy! I cycled in on Sunday along the river- at the same time as loads of people were doing a sponsored walk!

Seriously though I would never recommend York when there is racing on - for years we used to go on holiday during Ebor week.....

Our oldest friends live on the Bishopthorpe road so we well know what York is like on race day :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: The weather is looking cooler this weekend, so we're planning coming in then :)

Morning all! Well, this is my second day and so far so good. I'm keeping it small and sticking to Level One.

My main problem is getting sidetracked. I would love to be one of those people who can concentrate on one room and get it finished - but it just doesn't happen!!

This happens to many of us, even when we've been doing this for ages :(

Get yourself a kitchen timer and set it for 15 mins. Work like a Trojan for that time - if I can avoid being sidetracked for 15mins, so can you :p Have 5 mins break and repeat. You'll be amazed at what you achieve in an hour with concerted effort :j I now do three 15 min bursts followed by 15 mins coffee and laptop :D

Extreme "being unable to stick to one room" is called dot-to-dotting. Keep doing little tasks, even if they seem unrelated, and you'll soon join all the dots and have a beautiful clean and tidy house.

Special thoughts to Lady-L, Toots, Carlsberg, Diva and anyone else who wants one :A

Hey, everyone - I've actually finished my end of course assessment! I dread to think how many hours have been spent on the thing. I finished Monday at 3.30am.

27 pages of calculations, tables, graphs, analysis of the ecological significance of the European Rabbit in the Iberian Pensinsula, breeding schematics, process mapping on a geological timescale, chemical characteristics of varying fuels, enthalpy changes in hydrocarbon chains...assessment of planetary detection techniques and discussion of the possibilities for life on Mars with specific reference to the range of extremophilic chemotrophs that are known to exist on earth and their habitats.....

I am now looking at the mounds of detrius from our combined existence over the past few weeks.

I could write a whole new assessment on the processes going on in this place, including chemical reactions, forces, friction, gravity, static charge and biological activity.

Oh well, have to stay in until DD's birthday iPod touch (shhh!) is delivered, so suppose I had better get on with it...
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

    my class

a small girl came up to me complaining she'd been called a Paki
much bemused - she's white, I asked the 'caller' what he thought a paki was
they live in a caraven was the reply
    penny dropped - he meant a p i k e y

(and the forum won't print that)
