SubWay rip off

If I remember correctly, my local subway allows one free refill if you eat in - I would assume that is the same for all Subways, but I'd check with your local one to be sure.I used to find that although the subway sandwiches were fairly tasty that they were far too expensive really!
This is only my opinion, but if the Sub of the day is one I'll enjoy, I make it into a meal, which costs £3.09 - cheaper and probably a damn sight healthier than McDonalds.
Thinking about it, most of the subs are only around £2-2.60, so even if you add the £1.10, while a little more expensive than the fast food outlets, i still think Subway is better.Blood donations to date: 10 | Type: O negative[/B][/CENTER]0 -
No, don't think so. The OP is right though, the store's policy seems silly.
I like Subways. They are not cheap, but they bake the bread on site and you can see them make the sandwich.
Also, tastes nicer then Mcds imho.0 -
I had something similar when they had their offer of the day listed outside - I forget what it was and when I complained and said about the offer of the day they said that was for yesterday!! I havent been in since, i cannot go into shops that do that. All my views are just that and do not constitute legal advice in any way, shape or form.£2.00 savers club - £20.00 saved and banked (got a £2.00 pig and not counted the rest)Joined Store Cupboard Challenge]0

I bought a sub of the day the other week and somewhere it did say about the offer not being available on sub of the day. Shame realy-I then wished I had chosen a different sub and paid the extra. It was my first visit though and I was very happy with the sub-far better than Muck Donalds.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0

DH and I ocassionally have a sub in our local shop. We usually order a foot long and the nice man at the counter halves it and bags it seperately for us to share.
Recently went to Aberystwyth and ordered a foot long. They halve it as standard. When we got to the till we asked if we could have the two halves bagged seperately. He said we could, but then he would charge us for two 6 inches!!
Completely ridiculous and I told him he could keep his sandwich.0 -

I had a similar problem with putting footlong halves into 2 bags, the guy said he'd do it on this occasion, so I never asked again, just divide it up afterwards."I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0
