Thanks hun for making me feel better about it. My mum keeps telling me just to use it, as she (rightly) says...DD is so spolit as has such an extended family with me and her dad splitting up, she doesn't want for anything and by the time she goes to Uni/buys a house/gets married I will be in a much better financial position myself and will be able to help her.

I am going to wait for their response before I make my decision though :)

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

I would cash in the endowments as well, no point keeping it if it doesn't make real money and as you said it will help you to pay off your debts and can start saving money for your daughter later on.

    Thanks Kavics!

I am glad people understand where I am coming from, it's hard to know what to do but I just cant see it getting much better!

I don't know what made me think of it but earlier on I was telling someone at work about when I went to Ireland in 1998, I talking about Fungie the dolphin (I love dolphins..:D) and all about the holiday....I can't quite believe it but Fungie is still alive and still resident in Dingle Bay. The more I looked at the pictures the more I remembered how much I enjoyed it. You know where this is going....;)

I WANT TO GO BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK! I really loved the Irish people and the greenery, unfortunately I got a rotten cold out there but really enjoyed it until then. Had to do a little bit of research and flights out ryan-no-flair are £60 for both of us without hold bags and hiring a little car for 5 days with unlimited mileage is about £80, what a bargain! Would obviously need to book a B&B or something but if we went for 4 days it wouldn't be too much. I'm all antzy now......! Haven't even mentioned it to OH of course :rotfl:

Take a tent, even cheaper then, or hire a van and sleep in the back whilst travelling around :D
