Go for it. OH persuaded me to go to Portugal at the end of November though I really didn't want to. And I'm glad we're going- £48 for flights, £80 for accomodation (3 nights), a short break in England would cost us more! Go girl, go!

I took that one seriously - you could save loads!

Guessing you're not a camping person? The sleep in the back of a van could work, just take loads of blankets - from nights I've slept in the boots of cars its amazing how cold they can get :)

    I was being serious :o

Forgot to explain about the garage, me and two friends at the age of 14 decided to camp out, only one problem we didn't have a tent lol. We told our parents that we were staying at each others houses, once it was dark and we still didn't have a tent, we broke into my friends garage and slept in there!

Why the hell did we want to camp out in the winter and why didn't we just go home!!!!

Isnt it amazing the stuff you remember you did when you were a kid that makes absolutely no sense now?:rotfl:

Well nothing exciting to report on my travel front :(, when I got home OH was all doom and gloom with a headache (he doesnt cope well with ehadaches) so I ended up cooking/washing up/making cups of tea etc. I did mention it to him and he asked why I wanted to go so I said it was nice and I would like to see the dolphin again.....he murmured something about 'bl00dy dolphin' and that was kind of the end of it!

This morning he did sit on the bed and ask me about it again, he DID say 'we can go if you want' but it wasnt said with much enthusiasm, that could just be the early morning though. He told me to email him details at work today so I am just going to get some links together and send it over, already checked I know where our passports are :D

    Fingers crossed peeps!

    Thank you!

Already been perusing Quidco to see what I can get cashback on :D

Have emailed OH but not heard back yet, perhaps I will go on my own (just joking...I actually would go on my own but I don't think he would let me!)

I went to China on my own last year, well it was a Group tour but I didn't know anyone else on it!

It was the most liberating feeling not having to check in with anyone or think about anyone else for 10 days. I didn't miss anyone or anything about my real life!

Of course I told my OH I missed him loads!

I'd agree - there's something so great bout travelling on your own, tell him you are, that might make him want to go more!

Feel free to point at me and laugh but......

In two and a half years, we have spent a total of 6 nights apart and that was in the first 2 months. There was one night when OH had to go up North in the snow last year for work and I cried like a baby all afternoon :o.

    How sad!?
