I don't think it's sad at all - I said goodbye to OH before the first leg of my travel and cried and cried, then I cam eback for a few days, had a leaving party and got so drunk I cried saying goodbye to the dog, cried the next day at the airport saying goodbye to OH, was so happy when he came to visit me, cried again when I left for Namibia while he was still in Zim, then cried when he met me again at Heathrow 3 months later!
So I don't think you're sad at all, but would I do that six months all over again? YES!
You may be surprised how much you enjoy some time away by yourself
Or else just make him go

I was walking the Great Wall, beautiful but hard work.
Oh bless, its lovely you feel like that. I have been with my OH for ten years almost and have always gone on my own holidays every year. He spent 7 weeks without me snowboarding last Christmas and I was quite happy on my own with just the dog for company.LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Oh and I'd also love to go snowboading for 7 weeks

I'm glad it's not just me!
Without wanting to pollute my thread with mushiness...I just can't function without him, you know when you refer to them as your OH...well mine really IS my other half, I miss him just when I go to work, there is no better place than being with him
Anyone want a bucket?
PS...he just emailed me to say he can get time off work!

He's very cute, he'd spend all night cuddled up to you. I'm really naughty and let him sleep on the bed all night when the OH's away!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)
