Just sat and worked out all DD's and SO's and worked out what amounts are coming out of what accounts - all very confusing.

I basically have £421.96 for the month which also has to pay for food and petrol. I may have an extra £41 available as I budgeted for the sky bill last month and it still hasn't come out and i have also budgeted for it this month so may have doubled it up but will have to wait and see when it comes out.

OH also bunged me £10 this morning to 'treat' myself - very kind of him but obviously I wont be 'treating' myself with it!

Also realised that I agreed to buy some more LED lights from someone for the new fish tank that I haven't set up yet , that's £150 - ouch. At the time I agreed this I thought I would have around £100 left from selling things to go towards it but it hasn't happened like that. Might have to resell them....:(

Hello, just a though but can't you tell the person whom you agreed to buy the LED lights that you are very sorry but unfortunately you are not able to buy them because you thought you would have a fish tank by now but you had to deal with other priorities therefore you do not or cannot effort the Led lights.

Or lie :rotfl: and say you suddenly developed an allergy to fish and you could never handle them ever again, hence you are not having a fish tank...(OK really far fetched but it is too hot today and I am in the middle of sales mapping (work) and need a little break :p
    Don't forget smiling :):):)

I did think about saying I can't afford them, which is essentially the truth, but the seller held them for me as I said I wanted them but not till this month so I would feel bad not taking them now and also he still has one light that I have paid him for as he is going to send them all together to save on postage :( That's just another life lesson for me!! I could easily re-sell them so it's not a massive deal just a pain in the proverbial.

Allergic to fish :rotfl:I sometimes wish I was!

Hi Keza, thanks for the advice and support! I will have to dig our your diary as I would love some inspiration on how to get through it faster! Unfortunately I am not very creative so don't have anything I could possibly make to sell so I threw that out, could do MS-ing again but it's a cut throat business and I found it quite draining after a few months. Might have to go through the drawers again to see if there is anymore Ebay-able bits but I know that avenue is almost exhausted.

I keep trying to work out how much I need to clear it all but without knowing what the year end bonus could me I am a bit stumped (and at the moment the bonus is looking overly fruitful).

I know it is still possbile though and wont give up yet :)

Well just got back from shopping so thought I should update:

    Todays Spending

£2 lunch (for a cheese & bean jacket and a yoghurt - which is MSE style is saved for tomorrow ;))
£25 petrol - should do me until Wednesday next week given my new concious 'economical' driving!
    £60.05 - Food shopping
£6.17 - Nice box of different Ale's for OH birthday next week.

The food shop came in exactly where I thought it would although I did get extra things that weren't on the list - toothbrushes, hair conditioner, 2 lots of naan bread, extra curry sauce, eggs, icing sugar, sweets for cake topping, extra box cereal bars, extra pack of rice, marmalade for OH, Pizza for OH, Chicken steaks.....so actually I did really well! I was slightly annoyed that some items that were on offer (2 for £2) didn't come up on the receipt so that was an extra 85p I shouldn't have paid but by the time I realised it was a toss up of whether to stomach it or go back in...I stomached it!

Made an effort to down brand where I could and there should be enough there to last well over a week.

Only dawned on me today that it is OH's birthday next friday and whilst I do have a couple of presents stashed I need to get him one more. I have a gift in mind but it's £20 so that's going to hit the purse hard but after all the times he has helped me out I don't have a problem with it.

Going to grab some soup in a sec then have a nice shower before changing fish water and maybe even doing some ironing - how exciting!

    Hi Jody,
I suddenly realised while replying to your post on my thread that I had read your diary at the weekend - how random! So just popped over to say hello :j
Good job on the shopping btw, I totted up my receipts from the weekend and I managed to spend £130 of our monthly £200 budget! Lots of freezer stuff though, so just need to get fresh stuff for the next few weeks.

    Thanks for popping in Jules!

I am still undecided whether I am pleased I got so much extra within the budgeted spend or annoyed that I bought more than I put on the list when I could have come in at around £50. At least it wasn't over the budget!

I don't mind buying lots of freezer stuff as it always gets used, it's the chilled stuff that we seem to throw away a lot. I got two really small packets of ham and chicken for my sandwiches and OH was moaning at me about the pathetic size of them! I then reminded him that the last two big packs of ham we have bought have been almost full when binned because it was off ;)

Slept ok last night, might even make cakes tonight - will see how much motivation I have when I get in though! Just off to do daily scratchty and check bank balance, hoping for an NSD today :)

Have a good day everyone x
