i want to see them! We nearly went to Maldives a few years ago but had a bit of a near end to the relationship before hand, so i decided I didnt want to go until things completely back on track as its my dream desitination and i wouldnt ahve wanted it ruined by cancelling if we'd split up! Ended up going to cuba instead, didnt split up and now wonder whether we should have just gone to Maldives instead...

You are going to ahve such a amazing time!

Before you do book - have you looked at the Holiday Place website? they do some really cheap Maldives places, and are v competitive so maybe able to taoilor make to where you want to go - could be then perhaps used as a bargaining chip to get the price down with the original people you want to book with? I got £400 off my cuba trip plus upgrades to 5* All Inclusive...

BF wants Cape Town next - i guess we should do that as its always my choice - but when next my turn to choose its now defo Maldives! I reckon I should get there by 2020... :-)
  • It looks stunning! I really want to go but have never been able to afford it. When we are not forking out hundreds of ££ on debt and nursery could prob pay it off in cash within 3 months (for 2!!!)

    Thanks everyone!

    IT'S BOOKED!!! ARGH.....I'M REALLY GOING!!!! :j:rotfl:

Am in a state of shock I think, it seems ages away but I think it will come round quickly! My mum donated me $13 last night which she had left over from Vegas :). The lady at the travel agent has requested us some rooms that she thinks we will like (she said she put a pretty please in to get us a Jacuzzi beach villa but it's not guaranteed).

I'll try not to go on about it for a while now, promise!

    In other news....

I won £6.60 on the euromillions last night :rotfl:, that's going straight to savings obviously! Also had a message back from Asda the other day about my delivery, they said they would refund me £11.65 but I couldn't work out if that included the refund I already got...it didn't! So I've been refunded a total of £20, what a result! Another little pot for the savings.

Bought the last of my mums xmas pressies yesterday. She wanted some PJ's we saw in peacocks but I really didn't want to go into town and get them, lazy I know! Anyway, peacocks had 20% off everything online so the money I saved covered the delivery charge ;). Very pleased with that. Think I am actually almost there now, ordered OH a book yesterday too but I had a £10 Amazon voucher from surveys so it only cost me £3.98, he is now done (apart from a bottle of Sherry).

OH is having to work today and I don't know if I will see him before work tonight :(, just going to put the washing out on the airer and settle down with my tax revision whilst it's quiet. If I pass the exams I will get a bonus which will go to savings so better get cracking! Less than 3 weeks till my next payday as we get it early too :T

Revision for tax exam not going too badly but it's the other one I am worried about although I refuse to get stressed like I did in the summer!

OH's personalised calendar fron Vista Print on Saturday and I must say I am very impressed (apart from my spelling mistake - oops!).

Well I will do a savings report in a sec as I have just moved some bits around :D

    Ok savings update...

My savings, as per my signature, to the end of October were £1,300.40.

    Savings account balance today = £1,387.79 :j

Now before you think that it's only gone up by £87.39....I took £350 to pay the holiday desposit :D. So I have actually managed to save a huge amount and I am very impressed with managing to up savings whilst taking that money out!!

Not sure how December will go as we have early payroll and I need to tax my car so I am not throwing too much into savings in case I need to use some of it. I think I have about £340 in my bank account but I have an £80 online shop to come out...that should be plenty for me to finish up my Xmas shopping and have some left over for payday.

    Looking good so far
