Thanks Woo, yeah dont think im doing to bad my main saviour has been a water bottle (of all things) must thank sue (from the quitting smoking thread for that suggestion), still think about them sometimes but getting over it rather fast and watching the savings from not smoking add up is a sure way not to make me go back.

Well I tell you what its a busy day here, OH is outside working on the 4X4 it has steering issues but should be fixed very soon, and im inside doing all the cleaning duties talk about a cleaning frenzy
    • Cleaned out the birdcage (was way overdue just havent had the time to do it)
    • Washing and way to much of it, cleaned, dried (on the line as we have sun here today) and put away.
    • Dishes again way to many, really have to get on top of this.
    • Cooking well will be done once the dishes are finnished as need clean pots to cook stuff in lol.
Thats the problem with night shift (yeah ok ive said it before lol) on the days you work you dont want or have the time to do anything and on days off you just want to relax and catch up on sleep but unfortunately this stuff called house work will not do itself (wish it would though/or maybe one day have enough money to pay someone to do it WISHFUL THINKING). Hope everyone is having a good weekend

Well following on from yesterday, everything on the list got done which I am pleased about some of the washing ended up in the dryer as it was getting too late to put it on the line. I made a rather nice vege and lental soup for dinner last night even the OH commented on how good it was so I guess that ones a winner then and can go into the recepie collection (was a throw together i dont really know what im doing but hope it tastes good kinda recepie lol). Making roast chicken drumsticks with sweet potato and potato mash for dinner tonight, was a NSD yesterday to due to the fact that I had so much to do around the house, unfortunately today will not be as need a few bits and pieces from the supermarket to see us through till payday on Thurs (its a day later due to the public holiday here yesterday. OH is finnaly going to go down to the GE office to get a balance on his loan, and hopefully going to ask what the actuall extra charges are if we pay it off early (cos if its not to much i want it gone as we have the cash to do so).

Me again, well what a productive day. Me and OH got into GE Money and found out some really interesting news what we thought was owing on OH's car loan ($12000) was actually a figure of $5220.86 and we have now been given an account number to make extra payments and the fee that is charged if we pay early is only $75 so that is worth it to get rid of the interest that we are being charged (sig has been updated to reflect this). Not a NSD today had some groceries to buy also brought some Money tins (the ones you can only open with a can opener) one for gold coins $1and$2 and another for sliver, and also brought 2 new plant pots some potting mix and some new herb and vegie plants. Now I have Dill, Rosemary, Oregano, BokChoi, Curry Plant growing all in pots in a rental so dont want to set up a propper veggie patch. So in total a spend today of $77.27, but out of that im getting the next 4 days off meals so no more spending till next lot of days off. Wow this has been a rather long post, hope I havent put anyone to sleep lol.

Well back at work again but only 2 more days left then another 4 off. Well I made the first over payment on the car loan today of $98 using the money that would have gone to my gym membership which I cancelled, hopefully putting an extra $98 per fortnight on top of min payments should really bring the life of the loan down, may even have it payed off by the end of this year rather than at the start of 2012. Will now go and update sig.

    Hello again

What a day spent to much money (all on groceries) but it was all stuff we needed and stuff that we had ran out of that now stocked back up will last us a few months (eg: herbs and spices, oil, washing powder ect) so all in all $236.53 spent at the supermarket and more to be spent tommorow at the butchers (cheaper and better quality than the supermarket). This however means that we should be stocked up till the end of the month and should only need basics like bread and milk to see us through. Other than that there isnt much else to report, lots of cleaning to be done over the next few days.
    • Dishes and kitchen - Its never ending
    • Washing
    • Bed needs stripping
    • Bathrooms need cleaning
    • Laundry needs a good sort out.
Hmm got to love days off - think i spend more time working at home than I do at work. Well thats it for me tonight about to head off to bed as have to be awake at a reasonable hour tomorrow as have lots to do. Night All

    Me again,

Well have gone and got a heap of meat from the butchers $69.50 worth to be exact but that brought a heap
    • Whole chicken - only $9.00
    • 3kg of beef mince
    • 1kg of chicken mince
    • 1kg chicken thighs
    • 1kg casserole steak.
    • Plus the 8 chicken drumsticks that were brought yesterday from the supermarket.
So this should easily get us through till next payday and probably beyond that as well which will be good. Never seen our fridge or freezer so well stocked.

I have been keeping a spending diary which also contains my shopping list and I have been stapling in all my recipets and writting in those purchases that recipets are not given for. Have also been working on my spreadsheets that I have constructed which are making things a lot easier to keep track of.

    Hi Mz

You have definately caught the MSE bug, spreadsheets and spending diaries - were all equally obsessed!

I have just spent the last hour tweaking my budget and progress spreadsheet. If I had a £1 for everytime I opened my budget I would be out of debt by now!

Hey Woo, yes I so totally agree with you - That and constantly thinking about ways to make a little extra cash, im writting a few articles for a person online that will be making me $3.00 USD per article just when I have the time to do them around work which is good. Im also kinda hooked on the whole snowball thing It reckons I will be out of debt in November 2014. So now I have a new goal to try and reduce that date :) Ahh well onwards we must go. Hope all is well
