this only changes the default - i.e.how the boards will act in the future.

For threads you're already subscribed to, you have to go to the list of subscriptions, tick the ones you don't want, then either tick delete or no -email notification at the botton

Help. Ive come across more freebies and giveaways than ever be4 , Now that i cant do the url, link thingy.
How do you do it?

Anita, its easier that it ever was. Assuming that you are in "enhanced mode"
type the word you want to show ie click here, then highlight it with your mouse, go to the blue globe in the panel of icons above the post box and click on that. It will give you a box to either type in the url or paste in BUT remember to delete the http:// that is prepopulated in the box. If you wish to change the colour of the words ie click here, go back after you have put the url in highlight again and either click on bold or change the colour by clicking on the A.

Main thing is delete that http and just type www. etc

I suggest everybody should put Martin in their Buddy List, then they will know when he is online and can track him by clicking on the little green light which will take you to his profile so you can see his latest activity.

How to get posts deleted


Hit a raw nerve with Martin and your posts will be censored especially if its something he doesn't like :rolleyes:

I can honestly say that I don't think I've every seen a post deleted just because Martin or any other member of the MSE staff "Doesn't like it". Post would only be removed for legal reasons, spam, offensive/racist posts, libellous or anything else that is illegal.

mm well a whole thread disappeared today with no explanation, that was at least 6 posts been deleted for no reason. It was about Martin's new board having been changed needs to reregister his members because the t and c's have been changed. And has the board served it purpose now? Also the spying on member could be consider illegal in some countries. So under the catagories you have listed which one does this come under??

I can't comment on specific threads but you must understand that a public forum is not the place to discuss the legalities of a website. Also bear in mind that threads are often removed pending investigation but are often reinstated if it is found there is on problem with them.

The important thing is that the new software has solved the errors and time-outs that were present on the old forum and the functionality makes it easier and quicker for people to find what they are looking for and most importantly of all save money!
