I went to the wrong sports shop in a mall in Liverpool, not realising there were 2 the same in there on different levels Doh! So know how you feel. Who puts 2 of the same shop in a small shopping mall haha!

It seems to happen quite a lot, usually when a company takes over another one or buys it shops up, such as Co-op and Somerfield or Santander and Abbey/Bradford and Bingley. Unless you're a coffee shop, and then it seems fine to open up another store withing spitting distance of another store.

Off topic but I saw a talk about Starbucks once where it was revealed they actually open up two shops, either end of a street, around a competitor coffee shop and basically saturated an area. They only stopped when one Starbucks was taking business from another one, the assumption being that it also took business away from the competitors. I think the recession put an end to these practices though.

I wouldn't depend on Helion if I were you. I have applied for loads of jobs but they seem to allocate them to an elitist few and if you are not known to them you don't get any.

There are loads of other companies with work in Scotland. Have a look at the first page of the thread and sign up with all the companies there - I am sure you will see many more opportunities. :)

I've signed up for a few of the companies. In all honesty I think I'm just to lazy to work out other companies systems. I started with RE and know that system well. Must get out with my comfort zone.

Used to do a load of jobs for gap but well they messed up the pay a little too much for my liking :(.

Thats my task for the weekend, work out how to work other systems!!

  • Confirmation through by email from tns that they've fluffed up sassie. Coffee job wave starts on June 14th as previously stated - not June 1st. They say that if you have already shopped you should upload results as usual and you will be paid.

I am now working for 3 MS companies and have signed up to Gapbuster as well. I was looking at a petrol job with them which would be a push to do. Should I try and cram it in to get my foot in the door as a newbie with them, or just be happy with the 3 I have?
I have seen a few negative comments on here about them and wasn't sure whether to try another company instead?

I'd wouldn't worry about building up a reputation with them - they are not loyal to good shoppers. Everyone is treated the same whether you let them down all the time or not.

Just do the assignment if you can and if you want to. Personally I'd jump at the chance to get some free petrol. I love their petrol jobs as the reports are quick and easy and the visit is a doddle. Just make sure you follow the correct times. I have a petrol visit on my books which needs to be done between 3pm and 10pm.

Did everyone get that email from Gap?

If you want to go into a prize draw to maybe possibly if you're lucky win a whopping £50 all you have to do is shop 6 - yes just 6 - burger jobs this month.

Erm, think i'll pass if it's all the same with you. Especially as you've doubled the entry criteria from the last prize draw!

I have completed my first merchandise visit today after applying for months. Are the reports really as simple as completing a spreadsheet and sending a photograph or have I missed something?
