I'd booked four stamp jobs this morning, all near to each other but a half-hour drive from home. Three of them went fine (I really like stamp jobs - they're so easy!) but the first one, the entire shop the stamps part had been in was boarded up! This despite the fact that I'd checked the opening times online!!!

What do I do? Do I fill in the report with a comment, or do I email Gap? I took a picture of the boarded-up store just in case. Am really annoyed, though, as even if they pay me the fee I guess I won't get the reimbursement, so that's going to be less money than I expected to get. :-(

Oh bother it. I think I actually went to wrong place - where it used to be. Not exactly my fault since there are two roads named on the questionnaire, but.... Damn. I'm going to have to see if I can re-do it, I guess. But it'll only be worth it if I can get at least one other job in the area/along the way. :-(

Well that's good news, i'm always paranoid about these envelopes getting lost in the post.

<Sigh> Just started my tax return for last year. Got as far as page 2 before I got confused. Probably a stupid question but why do we need to declare interest from bank accounts now we're self employed?

I agree, the cash could end up anywhere, it also encourages people not to register as self employed since paid in cash - very old fashioned system!!

I believe in the small print interest only has to be declared over a particular amount - not sure of the amount though - someone else will know:)

Exactly the same here. I've been with them for over two years now and all I get is banks. Cannot take the teaching jobs as I am a teacher!!!

I only see banks - what are the teaching jobs???

    Hello

Question about the travel surveys - I was allocated 10 of these and have just noticed there is an old email message stating do not accept more than 5 invites for travel surveys!!

I have started all of them since wanted to get email questions out... my question is - is it worth plodding on and doing all of them since allocated now - has this come up for anyone else either now or in the past and want happened?

    Many thanks:)

It's only a recommendation. They allocate down the list so you might not get the ones you really want if you apply for loads. However, you got them all so well done.

There are two scenrios I think. They are mostly phone calls where you enquire about becoming a teacher. They should give you information as to how to go about this. Sorry, don't really know that much as I'm not allowed to do them.
The problem is you have to give your real details and not be a teacher already so I'm ruled out straight away.

Many thanks - what subject do you teach (secondary) or are you at primary or further ed?

    :)

Many thanks...Thats useful to know for the future - with surveys I don't really mind which ones I do so will apply for more in future and see what happens..:)

Argh, just did a gyp pizza delivery and realised that I didn't order one of their 3 specific sides. Of course it was after I'd completed the questionnaire. :wall:

That's really annoying! Probably no consolation but you've just reminded me to double-check what I need to order for mine tomorrow! I'm quite pleased I managed to nab this one, as it's order online and on a grand prix day when we always have pizza anyway.

On a different topic, thanks to all those who suggested adding town/shopping centre postcodes on Grass Roots, I now get offers and have managed to pick up two jobs for next week :)
