Afternoon folks. Doing my first Egg shops tomorrow :j (doing 3) and noticed there are still some available not too far away. They look straightforward, but would it be sensible to just limit myself to 3 for the first batch? Have no idea how long the reports will take! Cheers.

Remember, it does say that you can't do the same shop again for 6 months, so it may be wise not to accept all the ones in your area at the same time, as you won't have any to pick next time... ;)

Gosh you are nosey aren't you! Yes I'm on the front page (but that's all you’re getting)

I think it is very easy to only view this one sided.

I do appreciate what is required from our shoppers. I pilot all of my work personally to make sure it's actually do-able before releasing it to the masses (and I don't get paid anything for that). And I am regularly telling "people" no because it's not fair to ask that of you.

I can tell you that I have never reduced any fees (and I've been working here longer then I care to mention) and I even advise shoppers not to take work if I don’t believe it’s financially viable for them to do so.

I'm pretty certain that 90% of our shoppers have my direct contact details (you should hear some of the things I'm asked) and I am happy to help anyone that contacts me.
I have even be known to send hand written Christmas Cards to shoppers who have been outstanding (in my books), and that cost comes out of my own pocket (I realise that may have just identified me to some of you so if anyone on here has had a card off me, please don't mention it or you won't get another one ;)).

I'm not trying to paint myself as some kind of Exec Saint but just trying to show that just because we sit in an office it doesn't mean that we don't take shoppers into consideration - something that is not often reciprocated.

With the above taken into consideration, do you think it is fair that I constantly get shirty emails and phone calls with people shouting at me complaining that they feel it’s their God given right to be paid more then we’re offering, when the work is not even compulsory and you can just choose not to do it? (That’s not aimed at you directly btw)

Well your a diamond then i have emailed certain MS companies after their URGENT emails and given availability and had no response. 2 weeks ago i was in a shop and it FLOODED as i was in there.. *picture me in plaster water etc* called the helpline... left a message and to this day have had no reply.

So I can appreciate and do appreciate if SOMEONE takes job ownership (LOL isn't that a MS question sometimes!)

So Good on you wish there was more like you.

Agree with Kman, depending on your area. There are over 30 in my attacking range, so can accommodate 10 per wave no problem. I have had enhanced fee requests for more remote/released locations on previous waves, but this may not apply on these one day visits.

The reports are OK, though there are a couple of "hidden" comment- required answers. After the first, they are quite quick. (I did 4 reports in just over an hour). Visits are usually straightforward.

PS is the plural of these jobs a batch or a clutch?

Thanks . Will stick with the three as also have another supermarket to do later in the day. Think 18 eggs should do me for the week as well (have a fab ice-cream recipe that needs 8 egg yolks so that should use up a few!)

There are dozens (see what I did there ;)) of egg shops within my area, but I guess I will have to wait until I can self allocate to see if I can crack a few more.........

    That's rubbish!
Chase the agency - politely and by email.
Email leaves a paper trail so if they don't reply you have proof to chase it further (you can't prove you called unless you want to send them you phone bill).
And politeness pretty much guarantees a reply :D

email sent ... and I even had a call from them with regards to another job they needed me to take on an emergency.

Its not the first time certain MS agencies choose to ignore. Its sad really as you are trying to do YOUR job we are trying to do ours.

But yeah im glad for certain people I deal with at MS companies they seem to be polite and want to help and thats good!

I've just done a RE shop today and

1 The fee was set at 3 x the "usual" pittance

    2. There were only 7 questions :rotfl:

The scenario was wrong IMHO so I think someone mucked up with this.

Still one of the easiest pay from RE ever

Why not reveal who you work for like Max from Helion, he comes on here openly and chats with everyone? just a thought............:)
