I agree with jen, they have phoned me twice this morning asking me to do more. I think they will find it harder to allocate them with it being tied to one day.
Will be thinking of you tomorrow jen with the whole load you are doing! 2 is enough for me lol
With it being a Saturday, I would have liked to pick up a nice circuit - typically, my son is doing an end-of-term show that morning, so not available till after 12, and then we have to be somewhere at 4pm... so have only accepted 2 which are reasonably close by. There was a 3rd I wanted but it says I don't meet the criteria - I guess I must have done it in the last 6 months...
There are 2 in my town that I know of, but have never seen them on there! Do they only shop those which have changed name or is it that there are lots of shoppers near me with faster fingers? Though I never saw them before it went SA either...0 -
With the GFK phone calls, does any know whether you can pick up a non customer job and pretend not to be a customer (even if you are one)?Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0

I've got a very busy Saturday tomorrow !
Up at 6.00am to photograph 6 TA windows. Home to submit pictures.
Good circuit of 6 egg shops (62 miles round trip), on which I've managed to get 2 underground sarnies to give me energy (?). Have also picked up 2 stamp jobs, one of which is in a store I'm getting eggs from!
Stoozer would be proud of me!
Long day, but worth it. Reports should be done my 3.00am.0 -

LOL at the 3am finish - I've had a fair few of those!!!
Worth it when you look at your earnings though!! I could do with a few days like that - all the jobs seem to be falling on the wrong days for me recently...0 -
next sat? mine are all for tomorrow.
I think they release them in regional batches. Lots went on last week, but none near me. Local ones have gone on this week with a date of 10th July, and, like Sarah, I have other commitments that day  so can only fit in a couple. I could have done loads if it had been tomorrow!!!0 -

I have only been shopping a while but listen and respect other shoppers opinions when they speak about the decline and fee's and i think to some extent standards.
I think we all understand it's a business, the issue being we have a very small view fron inside the business. From our perspective fee's are dropping for growing work and the customer service side of relating to your shoppers has gone down.
I personally have had very limited contact with most companies. I accept the jobs and submit the report. There are few i have actually had contact with in order to build a repport.
(TNS being the only company to ignore all my emails)
Gosh you are nosey aren't you! Yes I'm on the front page (but that's all you’re getting)
I think it is very easy to only view this one sided.
I do appreciate what is required from our shoppers. I pilot all of my work personally to make sure it's actually do-able before releasing it to the masses (and I don't get paid anything for that). And I am regularly telling "people" no because it's not fair to ask that of you.
I can tell you that I have never reduced any fees (and I've been working here longer then I care to mention) and I even advise shoppers not to take work if I don’t believe it’s financially viable for them to do so.
I'm pretty certain that 90% of our shoppers have my direct contact details (you should hear some of the things I'm asked) and I am happy to help anyone that contacts me.
I have even be known to send hand written Christmas Cards to shoppers who have been outstanding (in my books), and that cost comes out of my own pocket (I realise that may have just identified me to some of you so if anyone on here has had a card off me, please don't mention it or you won't get another one).
I'm not trying to paint myself as some kind of Exec Saint but just trying to show that just because we sit in an office it doesn't mean that we don't take shoppers into consideration - something that is not often reciprocated.
With the above taken into consideration, do you think it is fair that I constantly get shirty emails and phone calls with people shouting at me complaining that they feel it’s their God given right to be paid more then we’re offering, when the work is not even compulsory and you can just choose not to do it? (That’s not aimed at you directly btw)0 -

No, some people are as subtle as a brick, and there are better ways to make a point than shouting and getting stroppy.0 -

Afternoon folks. Doing my first Egg shops tomorrow :j (doing 3) and noticed there are still some available not too far away. They look straightforward, but would it be sensible to just limit myself to 3 for the first batch? Have no idea how long the reports will take! Cheers.January 2012 GC £296.96/£3000
