This question came up a while ago and the answer is that no one knows! I have done 6 visits and helped them out on last minute ones but can't self assign. I am a bit loath like you just to take odd ones here and there as they are the ones no-one want to do!

My friend can self assign yet she has only done one job for them so there doesn't seem to be any logical explaination! Maybe someone will come along who has been given the right to self assign now and can give us the answer.

The whole ESA self-assign or not business seems a bit haphazard. I am not able to self-assign. I ask for this every time they phone me (up to three times a day, sometimes).

I keep telling them that they wouldn't have to pay me an arm and a leg if I could self assign, because I would have picked up many of these "urgent" jobs before they became urgent, and fitted them in. The trouble with "applying" is that the jobs just sit there, and don't get allocated, so I don't bother applying.

The sort of assignments ESA offers makes self-assigning the most effective way for us assessors to schedule our work. They ought to realise that some of us need to schedule our work with almost military precision! Occasionally, I put in the box: "If you allocate this job to me before x time on x day, I will complete it on y day. If you do not allocate by that time, please ignore this application."

If anyone has any joy after requesting self-assigning status, I would dearly love to know the name of the ESA person who fixed it (PLEASE).:)

    Opppsss

I did a stamp shop for Gap yesterday morning and totally forgot to enter the results till just now :(

This is the first time I have been late with a report and I have done quite a few shops for them with various clients etc but I am wondering if this is likely to mean they sack me
