    yes...2 years or passport expiration, whichever is sooner.
    Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    Is it okay to put your passport number on the application form as i'm sure ive read that they dont need it??

    Yes they need it and you need to put it on.

    Just a bit of feedback, I phoned US Customs and Border and was told that in order to enter the US for a job interview, I needed a Business Visa and I could not enter on the WVP.

    You can get away with the VWP for a "business meeting", but that term is very vague and not well documented. Otherwise you'll need a B1.
