Topcashback is financed through adverts. :)

It relies upon adverts? Which more and more people are blocking? And who in their right mind is going to buy through a banner for LateRooms.com (their current banner displaying here) when you can get 5% cashback on the same website?

(8)There may be trouble ahead(8). Just sayin'.
  • I stopped using Quidco as Topcashback also let you use codes when you purchase. What a difference to Quidco as they also publicise the codes you can use! Quidco with no codes allowed means you always are wary about using codes. Topcashback seems much more user friendly.
Well done Topcashback on stating that you'll honour payments.

afilliate links get paid when users visit the site, also the 5% will be how much you get but im sure topcashback will get a kickback from the companies it does well with

Have you been on QuidCo lately? They list compatible codes with every retailer, including many exclusive ones. I can't post links on here as I'm a new user, but take a look.

Don't QuidCo pay this to their members? I'm sure I read that they do.

Many thanks to MSE for this article. Although I don't use the cashback sites in question I do have several affiliate links on my website which operate through DGM. Luckily for me, my website has only recently gone live so I won't be losing much from the links that have been clicked to date.

However I am disgusted at DGM who only yesterday emailed me to tell me I had just been accepted for their new Mobile Recycling Comparison affiliate link - not a word anywhere about them being in administration, no mention of it at all on the members page that affiliates use and I would have known nothing about it had it not been for the MSE news story. I wonder how many affiliates out there are still in the dark?

Sound advice as always from MSE, NEVER rely on anything like this for your core income.

I've stopped using the so called cashback sites. I have lost count of the number of things I have purchased through these sites but never had a penny back.
Kevan - a disabled old so and so who, despite being in pain 24/7 still manages to smile as much as possible :)
  • I have used cashback-rewards.co.uk for several years now and thankfully they have agreed to honour all DGM payouts as a good will gesture to their valued customers. This is not the first time a network has gone down on them, and they have always paid the outstanding cashback at their own expense.

Well done to a cashbck site which does offer true customer service and value for money.:j

I took a vodafone contract out in December 2009 and was still waiting for the £100 cashback this week when quidco told me DGM have folded and I won't receive it.

Frustratingly quidco told me that they've not received a payment from DGM since December 2009. Wish they'd mentioned that at the time I signed up...

What, you want them to say "DGM havent paid us for 10 minutes, they may go bankrupt in 7 months" ?

And for those moaning about Quidco, they have paid out £194000 of the £400000 owed to them by DGM. Well done to TCB and FatCheese for paying out in full though (although for all we know, they were owed £10 by DGM ;))
