TopCashBack have said that they will honour any affected payments through them.

    Well done TopCashBack !!:T:T:T
Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right! :D

Waiting for £300 from Vodafone - that was ironically validated today by Quidco. I assumed the money was paid direct to Quidco/Topcashback... *sigh*

I would expect Quidco to do the same as topcashback or else I may just walk away (and I am sure not the only one)

...only as long as Top Cashback can honour their promise, of which I'm highly dubious. No disrespect to them at all though.

This is a sad day for the cashback world but it comes as no surprise. We all knew this day was going to come sooner or later.

Why have Quidco still got Vodafone on their site, if there is no chance of a payout.

A company will often work with more than one affiliate network.

If you took the contract out this year you should get paid as it wouldn't have been DGM who it went through

A bigger question is why is there no consumer protection with cashback sites? It seems that the end user is liable for the entire loss whatever happens. Quidco still get there profits but if the affiliate goes bust the end user picks up the loss. If a purchase isn't validated the end user picks up the loss, it's a no lose situation for quidco.

Look at holiday firm goldtrain in administration, atol and your creditcard company will be picking up some of the costs.

Sorry, but what have you lost? The cashback is a bonus, you have already bought and paid for your product, if you get cashback as well then thats good, but you shouldn't bank on the cash.

    Or have I missed something?

Although i don't place the blame entirely on the cashback sites or the affliates i certainly do feel as though i have lost money through this situation. Even though i have paid for the goods and services and the cashback may be seen as just an added bonus there are some deals and offers i have gone for because the cashback has made it a more affordable but i could have actually found a better deal elsewhere if cashback was not included.

I put my hands up that it may be a bit silly to make a purchase based purely on the "potential" cashback you may get but that does not take away the feeling of being cheated or feeling as though you have lost out on money due to you.

Cashback may only be a bonus but it doesn't stop you feeling ripped off when you don't get it, sometimes you have to jump through hoops and follow all kinds of protocol in order to be eligable for cashback so not only are you left without the cashback you expected but you also completly wasted your valuable time.
