It seems they have now changed the prices back to what it was before the offer began

Placed my order before 8am yesterday so would have hoped to be amongst the first dispatched but no e-mail yet:(

To be honest I think they have been completely overwhelmed by the take up of this offer, clearly they should not have raised prices but they have reversed that now and seem to be doing their best to cope with demand. They are at least trying to keep us informed and have not ducked their responsibilities.

I do wonder what checking is done before a deal like this appears in the weekly e-mail from MSE. The e-mail is a huge amount of "free" advertising but the traders do need to make sure they can cope with that - presumably Sunglasses Shop knew they were going to feature?

The prices aren't back to what they were before the deal started, they're between £3 and £30 more expensive across the board. £97 ray-bans are now £100+ etc. I know it's only a few quid but why should they have to 'massage' their prices anyway?! It's not right.

This link is to a bing.com cached version of the sunglasses-shop.co.uk website on 18/05/2010:

£81 aviators 3025 are now £86 this is just one example.

The 3025 I was looking at just before were showing £88 and then £94 yesterday. It seems as though the aviators were in high demand.

Now I just need some kind soul to loan me their private jet, or some overalls...

Goodness me, I can't condone what this company has done but anyone who pays £100+ for a pair of sunglasses needs their head testing!

My sunnies, Foster Grant aviators, look nice, have full UV protection and have people commenting on how I must have paid a fortune for my designer sunglasses.

    They were £1 in Poundworld!!!

Money Saving shouldn't just be about paying less for items in my opinion it should be questioning the true worth / value of them too. Sorry, I know this isn't a helpful post and I really hope you all get it sorted out but I am still gobsmacked at people on a money saving site talking about paying £80 - £120 for a pair of sunglasses

I swear some people on here have very small brains. You got a free sub - oh great a BOGOF and same for the cinema - WOW!!

You really are missing the point and the whole tone of this thread. How much did you fork out up front for your free sub and cinema deal?

    £17.50?

Why are you even posting on this board? To stick up for Mycitydeal? Or to let us know you got a free sub - either way pretty pointless if you don't get the gist. :T

The cinema deal was £1 tickets for any film including 3D, not BOGOF, which was a great deal.

This current one has put me off using mycitydeal in the future though.

We do because we can love, it's none of your business what we spend our hard earned cash on. Isn't it time you popped off to Poundworld for your cheap tat fix? :rotfl:

kittykate its a saving in my opinion, ive saved £25+ using this voucher. i was after a pair anyway so for me its worth it.
you get what you pay for, i work hard so why shouldnt i treat myself?

i know where your coming from about the cost, but you could say that about every single item for sale from electronics to cars etc.
