Whilst it is annoying, it's all covered in their terms and conditions - problems will happen from time to time, and I'm sure you'll get some vouchers if you complain. I always find clouding the complaint in personal issues doesn't really help the situation, it just makes the person on the other end of the phone think you are out for a free lunch.

Thank you 967 Stuart for your support it's a shame that others cannot see where I'm coming from. Also in reply to your question Equaliser123, it seems to me that I'm not alone regarding tescos and there incompetence regarding delivery, i didn't know if anyone else had any luck in a similar situation or any advice about how to deal with it. In reply to you dmg24 I didn't change my story at all just because I didn't mention the rudeness which I was subjected to does not give you the right to assume that I'm changing my story. Please don't take this the wrong way, in an ideal world yes of course I would have more food on the house but not everyone has the means to do this and because of no fault of my own I cannot do this, i have 2 children one which has coeliac diesease, gluten free food is triple the price of normal food. Thank you mjm3346 I shall defernitly try Ocado it has to be more better then tesco. In reply to you Radojo I can see what you are saying and if it was a case of broken down van weather or illness then I wouldn't be so angry, but that is not what happened in my situation, I don't live in a isolated town where there isn't many tesco delivery drivers I live in Croydon Surrey, there are so many tescos vans driving around delivering grocerys I just couldn't see why it was such a effort to redeliver that same day they had roughly 11 hours to try and help me, like 967 stuart said I paid for a service which they should of provided for me. All I can say is thank you again Stuart for being so kind. I really do hope that none of you find yourselfs in a similar situation.

Then you need to get some perspective.

If you ordered some food, paid for delivery and through the suppliers incompetence it didn't get delivered and you were effectively out of pocket that would be ok with you then? I think I'd be pretty livid too, especially if I was struggling for money to buy further food and then had to wait for days for the funds to clear back into my account.

The OP seems to be having a difficult time and I think a few posters have been a little judgemental on her situation. Sometimes when you are absolutely skint, your cupboards do get bare, believe me I've been there. Her situation of having no food and no money is not her fault but the fault of Tesco and they should be sorting it out for her.

What DO you have in the house to eat, list up what you do have, and let us see if we can create something in the mean time.

Get back onthe phone to tescos and explain to them again what the problem is, is there a neighbour who can help you out.

Hi Cybergibbons thank you for your reply, I've just read there terms and conditions regarding delivery and what they say is that they are not responsible for non delivery in circumstances beyond there control, having a driver who cannot make sure he is delivering to the right address is in there control I would of thought. Again can i just say that if they had a genuine reason to why they could not Re-deliver then I wouldn't be on here ranting about it. I spent money on shopping and now day 2 and i still have no shopping and no refund. It wouldn't be acepible for me to go into a supermarket and fill my trolly with a weeks grocey shopping then tell them I will pay for it in 2 days time, yet it's ok for them to take my money keep my food and then refund me without any mention at the time that it takes 2 days to clear.

That happened to me quite a few times when I lived in SE London, and got Tesco deliveries, I think I was served by the Croydon depot as well, they seem a bit clueless there. Quite often they wouldn't deliver on time, and wouldn't phone, and always had a different excuse when I called the helpline. Since I moved to West London Tesco have been OK.
If it's any help try Sainsbury's next time, if they are late or have probs you get a £5 or £10 voucher off your next order.
