In a grave situation

Bouche - the OP does mention child protection, police etc if you re-read their posts.
Clutton - I think it's unfair to say that the advice so far is useless - I also said they could rent out but would be forever dealing with the timebomb of the situation/neighbours.
I think the real option is auction but like you said (and I did too) the OP is not looking at a gain in the current market. If they could maybe get a loan to make up the shortfall to pay off the mortgage it may be a way forward??
Agree that it's a good idea to speak to the lender - not sure they'll be sympathetic but at least that way they've explored the avenue should a repo take place.0 -
To the OP, my heart goes out to you, I was in a similar postion once upon a time.
So back to these NFH, are the issues directed at you, ie could a soliceter word the SPIF in such a way that although you have had issues they could be because of something you did, making it easier to sell.
Now dont think I am blaming you here, I am not, but there are neighbour issues and there are neighbour issues, some may make it more difficult to sell than others.
There was someone on NFH forum that managed to sell with over 100 reported police incidents, on the file and declared, so all is not lost! But it really does depend on those incidents what they are. Do you think the NFH would cause problems if someone new moved in, or did you fall out with them and its escalated in to a huge problem, that neither side can back down from?Pawpurrs x0 -

can we keep the personal insults to a minimum chaps ? this is not helping OP ...
Bouche........ i had contact with many folks who were trying to sell with no equity a couple of years back and almost without exception they were not realistic about the financial realities of their situations.... it sometimes needs a utter outsider to help you see what is in front of your own nose but which you cannot see due to fear....... and exhaustion.....0 -
I think the OP is in a horrible situation, but I do think it is right that disputes should be declared. OP was this rule in force when you bought the property? had there been no issue with the previous owner?0

It would vastly help if we knew why (without going in to the ins and outs) the neighbours were a problem. And then the answers could be different. Are they likely to move themselves any time soon? Could the house be used for holiday lets? Or are the neighbours so bad they would upset people there only short term?
Is it noise, abuse, parking issues, personal clash, right of way etc? If its a right of way issue, perhaps tennants with out a use of that right of way?Pawpurrs x0 -
Can that be the end of this now. The OP is at the end of her tether, and I for one would like this thread to be about helping her and her situation, what she really doesnt need is a load of posts about other people and their sillyness.Pawpurrs x0

Properties still sell with neighbour disputes. People either feel that they are so peaceful and loving they will not have problems with the neighbour or they are so aggresive the neighbours won't bother them. Either way it is still possible to sell, you can always put a slant on it that you got off on the wrong foot with them.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. sorry, i have no advice to offer but i just wanted to say that i feel absolutely awful about your situation and wish you all the best.
i have never been in a situation where i'd be haunted out of my own house but i suffer from bipolar disorder and have tried to kill myself - a house/money is not worth risking your health over. even if you make a loss, if you still have somewhere to stay after this and are happier, you'll have more of a chance to earn money and balance it out if you're well (i was off work for three years and it was absolutely awful for me, especially as i didn't know i'd ever be able to work again - but i am and i have a great job and a very understanding boss)
good luck with whatever you decide to do0
