PS It isn't a credit card. Big difference. No credit check to show up on your file, no chance of spending more than you can afford, less chance of being scammed for £oooos by card thiefs etc. No booking fees on Ryanair flights also. And at the vast majority of retailers on its list, a big fat ongoing 5% cash back.
PS
So a £100 spend at Asda pockets you 25 Tesco clubcard points. Isn't that 25p to spend in Tesco? Great money saving. Not.
Asda isn't listed on the UW website. I spend £150 a month on petrol from Tesco or Asda. £50 on Iceland food and £50 from Tesco/Asda and the rest by cash. That spend gets me £15 a quarter to spend in Tesco.
Tell me how UW can beat that as I can't see how.0 -
As an aside, Sky advertise 4 UK call centres on their website.0

Is that why you said you shopped there??Asda officially starts on the UW card wef 1/1/11 but if you'd been paying attention I mentioned a couple of days ago that I made a purchase there and the cash back is showing in my UW account. So now you've decided you shop for food at Iceland as well? HaHa. And why spend cash when you can get cash back by using a card? This is after all a money saving site, you may have previously stated this yourself.
Edit: something doesn't add up here - why would you spend cash instead of your much trumpeted Tesco Credit card when you have already said it suits your needs by accumulating clubcard points? Don't get it (I think I do but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for now).As an aside, Sky advertise 4 UK call centres on their website.
Are you stating they don't have foreign-based call centres?0 -

If I only need a couple of things it's more convenient to use cash than a card, plus I budget to only spend a certain amount on my card, so I don't have a huge bill. So it means I don't have to pay interest, so I'm saving more than I'd gain from the points.
As for shopping, I do one big shop a month at Iceland and the rest at Tesco/Asda as they are most convenient. I would use Sainsbury's as their food is better quality but they are too expensive.0 -

What????? You sit (or stand) holding a phone to your ear whilst you are in a call queue? Do what I do and put the phone on speaker phone whilst getting on with other things.0 -

If you struggle to control your spending, sounds like you'd be better with a pre-paid cardSo, you spend more by way of cash on your monthly shopping than by your favourite Tesco clubcard credit card? And a big monthly shop is £50? Still don't get it, sorry (you and I both know that your failure to realise that asda is now part of the UW cash back card scheme has placed you in somewhat of a predicament here which you are struggling to wriggle out of. But hey ho).

Judging by the tone of this post (FIVE question marks?) you would appear to be the type of person who would get angry if inconvenienced for any length of time.0 -
It's a cycle that I can't get out of to go onto a prepaid card so it isn't suitable for me. As for Asda, still only means I'd get cashback on no more than £200 a month if I moved all my petrol shopping there. So my cashback wouldn't be that much. Irrelevant anyway as s pre-paid card isn't suitable for me at the moment.0
