Yes, still looking. There has been quite a few cheap deals come onto the market lately I'm sure there'll be a SIM only 1 month deal soon enough.Yes, UWs deals certainly come under intense scrutiny from some of the most analytical minds on these forums but so far the SIM Only guarantee of cheapest in the marketplace seems to be holding firm and has since they were launched months ago. Very impressive IMO. And like I said previously, even more so when they are a qualifying service for the free global calls offer

I know what you're trying to point out. What I'm trying to point out is that your asserting has not been my experience. I have found the fixed price tariff to be more expensive than the standard for the specific customer situations that I have seen.
Could you provide the links to where you are getting your numbers?
Well as your client(with Scottish Power) was 'estatic' in getting a UW tariff that was only a few hundred pounds more than Scottish Power's most expensive tariff, it wouldn't give anyone confidence you have the ability to work out any tariff!0 -

Which website announcing it yesterday. The switch with which website has the tariffs.

I must admit I know little about the fixed deal apart from what was posted on here when it was first launched but doesn't the length of the fix depend on whether you are an existing customer or not? It doesn't seem to be listed on energyhelpline, either.
Edit: What an absolutely horrible site that switch with which is. Much prefer energyhelpline or UKpower.0 -

What I have seen with the T's and C's is that it is a 3 year fix if someone takes 4 UW services otherwise it is a 2 year fix.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)

The UW fixed deal is a good spot, HappyMJ. Now it's showing on UKPower I've been having a butchers and it seems more than competitive. Taking your East Midlands region at average consumption it would appear to be the cheapest fixed tariff on the market for those that stretch to 2014. This is of course for existing or new customers who take 4 services in total. And am I right in assuming that the price shown on UK Power won't include the 10% refund after 12 months? And surely no cancellation fee on a fixed deal is a first, although i accept should you leave within 12 months you would lose the 10% refund. But like I say the figures shown in the link don't include that anyway. Blimey, could this be yet another UW service Cardew has to pretend doesn't exist?New and existing Qualifying Customers can fix their energy prices until 31 August 2014. All other members (ie. with less than four services) can fix their prices until 31 August 2013.

Does that link work? Taking into account the 10% refund, first year total for UWs Fixed till August 2014 in the link above would be £1069, which would put it 2nd in that list only behind EDF 2012 Fixed Deal!0 -
What happened to the EDF Price Protection June 2014 tariff? That was there yesterday and was cheaper (only by 20 pence) than UW. Edit: Figured it out...You selected only tariffs that you could switch to on UKPower. You need to select all tariffs available and a tip select UW Fixed Price 2013 for elec and Fixed Price 2014 for gas. It's £18 cheaper for current usage then you can manually add on your own membership charge.
Doesn't include 10% as it's after 12 months as it has a clawback time of 15 months. Whether it applies to the fixed tariff or not I'm not sure as can't see the actaul T's and C's that apply to the tariff.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)

That 10% back on their expensive energy is another misleading UW "attention grabber"!
The 10% is only available if you meet their ts + cs. (And is impossible for fixed tariff customers)
THe ts + cs also include you having to take at least 4 services from them, and not move house, supply 3 meter readings within a 5 day window either side of set dates etc.0
