    Evening all,

Usual knitting group this morning, lunch out with OH, hang round and have coffee while DGS 2 waits for his music class, then home.....left at 10.45, got home 3.45, spoke to a school parent I know who has 4 children under 8 and she was telling me that he husband has been out of work since before Christmas, feel sorry for young couples like that, mortgages are huge here, negative equity doesn't even let them think about selling and renting....sad but allegedly the recession is over in Ireland....yeah, right.

Lovely day here, sunny and warm, not sure how warm but it was wonderful after all the cold, OH and I eventually put out the hanging baskets and 4 window boxes at front of house....still have to do top and side ones but seem to have run out of plants so will have to buy some to-morrow...maybe pansies as I don't have any this year.

No cooking this evening as we had lunch out, watched HFW in Beyond River Cottage so needed something to eat so had 2 slices of lovely fresh bread and butter...really good for me I know but the programme made me want something, anything, to eat....not my fault m'lud!

Just had to evict the cats from the top bunk in the downstairs spare room, I used the loo in there earlier and they obviously snuck in while I was otherwise engaged, for some reason they love that room...means that I will have change bedding in there now as DD2 would go mad if she happened to see a cat hair in there when she comes next.

JackieO, hope that you have had many happy memories of Alan today, a good way to remember a loved one who has gone before us I think.

Hugs to Ladygrim, Diva, PP and anyone else who could do with one.

    Marie
