    Morning all
Is a lovely sunny morning here but showers forecast for later.
Had a rubbish day yesterday. Took my car to get the tracking fixed and they said just pop in so thought I would save on the petrol and do it whilst DD was at a birthday party! Got there 10 mins before they cxlosed so of course not enough time for them to do it!! Don't know why I didn't realise they would close early on a Sunday:o
Then last night the police were at the door. They wanted to interview DS about an assault that happened in March:eek: He's 14 and knows what happened and two of his friends (whom he has not been out with since this) beat up a lad! As he was out went to pick him up and took him back to speak to the police. I got a big shock when they were at the door and they weren't sure if my son was involved. He wasn't and gave the police a witness statement as to what happened. By the time they left and got DD off to bed, had a chat with him about the situation it was time for bed and I was done in. (The police said they were pleasantly surprised at how supportive I was! Most of the parents they see couldn't care less:eek:)
Never mind today have to get ironing and meal plan done. Take car back to get tracking fixed:rotfl:Also have the doctor at some point but can't remember when appt is so will call and check as soon as they open!
Hope you all have a great day

    Good Morning everyone ,
a beautiful morning here in the Garden of England .The sun is up, and from my computer room window I can look out across the River Medway. It looks as though 'Basil's abandoned wife and little ones are o.k. as yesterday she was keeping a strict eye on her babies, and trying to get them to fly. She has three that I have spotted that are doing their best to squeek and flutter about, and she is very strict with them. Gives them a quick peck if they get out of line. It's quite funny to watch as she is a very strict Mummabird.
My youngest DD will be round this morning for awhile .Today would have been my late OH's birthday, and he would have been 77 bless him.He loved the sun, and was usually in his shorts by this time of the year and as brown as a berry. This year I think he would have been rusty more than tanned I think.:)
We will sit and drink coffee and reminisce about him and the daft jokes that he got up to. We are all sad he is no longer with us, but we always celebrate the fact we had him for so long which is a good way to remember our late loved ones I think.

I shall have to go out at some point this week to buy two birthday presents for two of my DGS. Mikey will be 6 on 1st June and his brother Henry will be 9 on 3rd June.Haven't a clue as yet what to buy them, but I will get some ideas of my DD this morning hopefully.

I watched The Duchess' yesterday and really enjoyed it my DGD got me a copy from her college for a weeks loan, so it was a nice freebie bit of entertainment .
DGS Danny has gone off to Thorpe Park for the day with his girlfriend as they both have a day off.Next Monday he starts filming at Elstree on the Big Brother Production team and is there for 17 weeks. He is looking forward to that as he learns such a lot from the cameramen and lighting chaps, and its another credit for his CV.Well time I went and got the kettle on and had some tea.I hope everyone has a good day
    Take care all

    Mornin all :hello:

Just flying past ... will catch up on thread later.

Today I'm walking everywhere and not using car at all. I'm making leek and pot soup, giving house a once over and doing a bit of flying and definitely spending some time in garden ... even if it's just to think about how to make more of it. I'll tell you all about my big garden dilemma later.

Hope everyone has a good morning xxx

    Morning Guys!

Hope all is well with everyone.

WM has been on and hung outside as weather nice here today. DW has been emptied and toilet cleaned Everything has been wiped down as there was a lot of dust from the old flooring coming up.....it was EVERYWHERE!

The old floor was collected by a lovely lady off Freecycle and received a little card from her. My faith has been restored in Freecycle! The new flooring looks great-luckily for us a family member works for a flooring company and have been waiting for months to get the same colour in odds and sods...but so worth it and a fraction of the RRP. It has a 25yr guarantee too apparently?

Managed to sell loads over the weekend on Ebay which my friend was kind enough to do for me. All have paid bar one whom is sending a cheque.

DD had a healthy lunchbox today of roll with ham/lettuce, chopped tin pears, yogurt, flapjack (bought), popcorn and juice/water. Must get the sausages out for dinner. Think we will have the chilli TTD ones OH got reduced to 50p last week with mash and veg. I was pleased yesterday as I am rubbish at cooking lamb chops, so used the Remoska and placed the 4 chops in there with a tin of scotch broth soup and cooked for 1.5hrs and was delish! Served with mint mash, carrots and cabbage.

Rent needs to be paid today along with water and rates. We seem to be doing okay without our Sky which we cancelled a few backs.

Anyway, hugs to all. Nurse should be here any minute, so better go.

RIP Alan-Enjoy your memories JackieO! Hugs and kisses to you.

    Morning All ,

JackieO - hugs, have a lovely day remembering Alan xx

Busyish weekend in the Lowesy household. Managed to make enough houmous to last for about 6 months which is frozen in ice cubes and now in freezer bags! Don't think I've helped the Greek economy any though :D :rotfl:

OS today - mountains of ironing and preparing a meal plan! What with being away the week before last, DH and I have totally run down our stores so we need to do a big shop and make sure we have plenty of storecupboard stuff in. Tea tonight is bubble, with fried eggs and leftover chicken.

Have a lovely day, hugs to all xx

Morning all...................((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.

Today 26 years ago my eldest grand dughter was born, where did the years go, it seems only 5 minutes since I was making dresses and coats for her. Her Mum and Dad are coming up to see us tomorrow.

Its a dullish morning, we were forcast frost, but got rain instead.....it is supposed to brighten up later, I hope so I have sheets in the washing machine.

OH out at bowls this afternoon, I plan to do some sewing, more blocks for the country quilt me thinks.

Monday clean, bedrooms, the guest room needs a quick going over with the duster and hoover, I am hoping the bluebells in the garden will hold up so I can cut some to put in a small vase. I like to see a small vase of flowers in for guests.

Turkey needs slicing, when I went to cook it I discovered it still have the bones in, so I took them out, will use them tomorrow for stock, I can make gravy and soup.

Time to go...............have a good day..............

    Hi everyone,

Had a busy weekend as usual running about while oh at home.
Picked up a stick blender from freecycle as i can't whisk by hand anymore because of varicose veins in my hands, they're getting worse and the pain can be unbearable at times, had numerous ops on it so don't know what they'll decide to do next.

Sunny here for the moment so i've stripped the bed and its now hanging on the line along with another load.:):)

Goin g to finish off a cross stitch pic i'm doing today if hand will allow.

Dinner tonight is cheese and tattie pie made from leftover mash from yesterday and battered fish i think. As its the week before i do our monthly shop i am on a use up week so have a list of what i have to use up in the freezer.
I would also like the relish recipe please so look forward to looking for that later
    Bye for now

    Morning All,

Weather's lovely here, too. Sick child so looks like a week off work for me this week. :( or is it:) I'll let you know at the end of the week. This means that in between nursing duties I can spend some time doing the stuff that needs done and pottering in my garden if I have time. Today I will make celery soup as the HM puff patry got made into Mille Feuille, so we'll have soup and that for dinner. Will be breaking the cake fast today, I'm afraid! I also pland on doing a big batch of toato sauce for pasta, pizza type dishes and freezing it. Other than that, not much planned. The floors could do with a clean, I suppose. I'll see what's on the FLYing list.

Have a lovely day of rememberances, JackieO.
    Good luck to DD Redruby.
    Happy Birthday to Csarina's DGD
    Big hugs for Bargainbird. X
Diva, hope things are OK with you my darling, and extra hugs to PenPin - good to see you posting a bit more, hope DH is doing OK, too. And Ladygrim

Have a good day, OS or otherwise!
