Hi All, I have a 3 month old baby daughter who has since birth, suffered with silent reflux and has now been diagnosed with severe colic. She loves to be kept moving in a buggy but mine is too large to come indoors and round the house.
Does anyone have one I could have to push her back and forth as she is in a lot of pain and it would really help. Thanks in advance x

hmmm mine had colic and has reflux..... we've never pushed him around in a buggy to solve it. same as the "take them in the car".... handy IF YOU OWN A CAR!!
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Wow, I havent read every message on this thread but I'm really surprised (and a little upset) by many of the messages here. I am a moderator of my local Freegle group, I love it because it allows people to find things they really need but maybe can't afford and put them to good use, above all though, its there for the environment to try to stop items end up at landfill. So to see people say they will just take things to the dump rather than offer them on these sites, just because they dont like some of the messages being posted.
May I suggest you contact your group admins to report when a message asking for money has been posted as this is against the rules an would be removed. Yes, I know some people make ridiculous requests, yet on the other hand there are some very generous people out there who do give away items of some value because they need them gone quick. For example before I was an admin on Freegle, I received from generous folks on my local Freecycle group, a set of pine bunk beds for my daughters, an old but fully working dishwasher and a stunning wood changing table/chest of drawers for my baby. I have also given away many items from clothes to dog items to home decor.
I Love Freegle so am a little biased granted, but maybe the problem is with the admins of your groups not moderating correctly rather than with the sites themselves. Hope you all have better experiences of it soon :-)

    Hi Vicky

Most of the Freecycle / Freegle posts commented about on here are not breaking the rules, therefore they are not reported.

No-one on here knocks the purpose of these groups - the reason we all see them is because we're members, and we give things away on Freecycle / Freegle etc. We are as positive about the whole set up as you are, and none of us want to see stuff going to landfill, either.

What we are laughing at are the ridiculous requests that are posted, requests for boats and new Apple Macbooks and those who have no manners and respond to offers rudely. I'm not sure why that would upset you - this is a thread for commenting on the rudeness and ridiculousness of others, not for laughing at your site or any others...perhaps you're being a little sensitive about it! :D There are plenty of other positive comments about those sites elsewhere, but this thread is dedicated to those 'moon on a stick' requests that are made, which we take tongue in cheek and find amusing. Nothing more - and it's not a dig at the sites themselves. :)

That's good. I fancied clearing my drive so I had some space for that new McLaren MP4-12C I've had my eye on.

    KiKi

Before you go and buy the McLaren, make sure you post a Wanted on freecycle, won't you? There's bound to be someone ordered one then realised they don't want it any more :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say. :)

As Kiki said the majority of the posts on here are due to the nature of the posts, not the site.
If you read them with a different mindset then you may see them in a different light.
Needing a sofa & politely requesting for one is great, posting that you want a brown leather corner suite in VGC delivered is taking the mickey somewhat.
I offered a suite myself a while ago & had numerous demands for a viewing, I gave the sizes etc, one person I emailed pictures to & said that the colour didn't show up too well in them, she turned it down as it was the wrong colour chocolate brown, (maybe I should have given a brand name, Cadburys)
I've received a few things & also donated loads of stuff. I delete more messages asking for my stuff now, too many people with no manners, expecting items to be delivered or telling me to phone their mobile number.
It isn't so much a problem just with Freecycle but a problem with society in general.
Too many people feel that the world owes them a living.
The majority of us continue to use it but sometimes you need to laugh at the absurd requests.

Kiki summed it up spot on and I agree with that.

Its not the service/idea that is the problem its some peoples expectations in what they ask for and how they ask for some items.

If your giving it away why should you be EXPECTED to deliver it by some people, why should they be asking for for specific new items that cost hundreds of pounds. Wouldn't everyone like to be given a new mac book or 40 inch 3d tv. Surely common sense should dictate at times what should be moderated out by the people who are basically just being greedy!! Freecycle is about helping people and recycling no one has a right to anything that is listed on there yet some people seriously think they do.

I very rarely offer anything now as it gets annoying that so many people demand terms like it must be delivered, I will collect it at 2pm. It doesn't work like that i'm doing you a favour you meet my terms or you can else where and buy it!!
Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.

Sadly not. A friend of mine did suggest someone offer him a dictionary, to which another friend wondered if he would then use the dictionary in a sock to mug a biker for his bike :rotfl:
