    Sounds like someone took a dislike to the OP's listing and just decided to muck it up for her.Keep the emails and send them to ebay reporting them as as abuse from this ebayer.If you really want to answer them yourself,only do it through ebay messaging so they cant deny what they say in response.
    Block them from bidding on your auctions.Block their emails from getting to your personal comp.
  • There are same truly twisted insane people about, i hope you put this person in their place, I hate meddlers and do-gooders-mainly cos they tend to get it wrong !!

    Will eBay give you the necessary information to sue someone who does this? And does anyone ever bother? I guess upfront court fees of £80 at moneyclaim online are going to be fairly off-putting.

    Yes, you're right, for < £300. It's a sliding scale:

    up to £300 £30
    £300.01 - £500 £50
    £500.01 - £1,000 £80
    £1,000.01 - £5,000 £120
    £5,000.01 - £15,000 £250
    £15,000.01 - £50,000 £400
    £50,000.01 - £100,000 £700
    £100,000.01 - £150,000 £900
    £150,000.01 - £200,000 £1,100
    £200,000.01 - £250,000 £1,300
    £250,000.01 - £300,000 £1,500
    over £300,000 or for an unlimited amount £1,700
    To issue proceedings where your claim is for something
    other than money £150
