Brlliant price. Just checked the new Sammy 40" LCD and with 3 yr warranty and wall mount comes in £500 dearer than the Aldi. The BIG dilemma is the contrast ratio IMO. The new Sammy has an astonishing 5000:1 whereas this one has a relatively modest 1200:1. And IMO it's usually the poor contrast on LCD TVs that lets down the pic quality. Hmmmm...decision decisions.

Seems a good price for a 40" LCD TV.

Does anyone know if there's any problems with programming a Sky+ remote with an obscure make like this?

And what of the "eventual reduction to £649" rumour ?

I think with the TV at this price, the stock they currently have will probably sell out, so therefore I dont see why they would reduce the price.

Either way, its a cracking set for the price! If only I had the money!
