Well - first time I've sat down all day!!! (apart from a 2 minute chocolate and cup of tea stop at a couple of hours ago :p)

We left the house at just gone nine, walked dogs for an hour and then went to library and spent an hour of quality time which was lovely ... picked up a few bits of shopping (and went to Greggs for muffins :o) ... anyway we didn't end up making it back here til 12.45!!! I went straight in to the garden ... heels and all ... and mowed the meadow ... had to go over it with the strimmer first in places because it was so long!! We planted all the seeds and the seed potatoes (found them in the shed :j) and then had a phone call from one of my foster dogs adopters saying could they please come and meet her today ... and they did and have taken her home :'( tbh although she was lovely but I'm not terribly sad to see her go to her new home as she has been quite destructive in the home.

Anyway ... meal plan went out the window and I chucked some chips and sausage rolls from bottom of freezer in oven for DD's to keep them quiet while the adopters were here and then I've just had LO salad and veg/cheese omlette.

Now .... off to have a shower and re-charge batteries and then make biscuits/cakes and make picnic for tomorrow (and while BGT's on of course ;) )

    Hope everyone's had a lovely day x

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:No thank you Bitsy, mine are perfectly adequate!:p

Oops! This is what you get for trying to type with one finger whilst a nearly 2 year old clambers all over your lap :rotfl:

Went to Stratford, kids had a lovely time in the local park, took them on the little ferry across the river, had a quick wander round the shops and back to the park. Was lovely day, sun was scorching at times and it was so nice to see so many families enjoying the nice weather and open spaces :D
No afternoon nap for me as I popped to see my parents and sent H to get the shopping. he spent slightly more than I wanted and then spent a small fortune on new tyres for his bicycle  Oh well if he ain't gonna worry about money why should I?!

Taplady - Hugs to you xx Sorry to hear poor Flynn has passed away. although not nice for you to find I think it's distinctly better than having to take them to the vets :(

OK I had better get out in the garden and do some watering. Waiting for some ebay listings to finish - shan't make much but it's better than a kick in the teeth :D

Taplady - so very sorry about your beloved dog xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    afternoon all!

not long got back from a few days in Devon with Mum. Not a nice homecoming as I found our old lurcher dead in his bed:( Flyn was 16 and a bedlington whippet cross. He'd been off colour the last week and had generally been showing his age lately so it was not a great shock, in a way its a release for him as his legs have been going and he's had a few 'accidents' too lately. he's had a good life so we cant complain.

Taplady sweetheart, I'm so sorry to hear about Flyn, I know how much you love your dogs, and you must be devastated, I know he had a great life with you cos you are such a nice person. At least he went at home in his bed, probably dreaming of chasing rabbits, you gave him a long and happy life, he would not have wished to live with anyone else, bless you xx

So sorry Taplady, it's a horrible time, but I'm sure Flynn had a long and happy life due to your love and caring.

JackieG Be strong and look forward to seeing OH when you can.

Not much OS here today, apart from a friend bringing a huge trailer full of logs for the fire, couldn't put washing out on the line as there were some quite heavy showers here at times. Very annoying cos in between the weather was fabulous and sunny, if not a bit windy!

Went in search of new curtains for DDs room - we had run a B&B here for a few years and although the rooms are quite modern I realised that they were a bit 'faceless' for personal use. Eventually found a pair in Next Home that cost £70.00!! Still, they look really good and make the room look a lot more homely.

BGT on for the usual Saturday night highs and lows but not a lot else tonight. Enjoy yours and hugs to all alone, poorly, down or just in need of a hug.
