            Afternoon all
Hubby working at the school again today, but doing the late shift, starts at 2. I've been pottering in the kitchen reorganising stuff & cleaning as I go. I made lunch from half a rasher of bacon, half a chicken breast & 2 manky mushrooms, chopped all of it up, stirred it into a white sauce & served over pasta.
I was given 3 childrens dressmaking patterns yesterday, so once hubby is at work I shall use the kitchen table to cut out some clothes for DGD & then make them up.
All the wood arrived yesterday for the shed, bit of a surprised as it wasn't due til 28th, still better early than late & now hubby's moved the washing line it should be ok.
WM is on for 3rd time today & DW on too now the lunch dishes were used.
 Have a good day everyone.
 Hugs Hester

            Hi Guys!
Pretty rough day yesterday at the hospital, but okay:)
WM has been on and emptied. Keeps going dark here, so thinking its going to rain soon, so may have to finish in the TD. Toilet cleaned too. Everywhere is dusty as flooring is being laid today, so will need a good wipe through tomorrow or Monday once its all settled. Have contacted a lady who was looking for flooring through Freecycle to see if she would like the stuff that has been taken up? It will do a small room.
OH cooked american Aunt Jemima's pancakes this morning with butter syrup....yummy!! Have Bubble & squeak later with bacon and a fried egg as the helper peeled spuds and veggies yesterday and we didnt eat a lot last night, so they have been boiled and mashed down with fried onion.
OH has his op date which is over the bank holiday weekend:eek::eek::eek::eek:....I am hoping they will keep him in as he needs an able bodied person to look after him for 48hrs after op and dont think I would fit in to that?
Anyway, have to go. Hugs to all.

            Afternoon OSers
PenPin - Glad to see you're doing ok today.
Was up at 7 to get out onto the park early, hoping to finish early - which I did :j Just before leaving I went out back and put up the brolly on the patio table as it was soooo warm and sunny, thought I'd spend a good bit of time out there this afternoon. Just about 20 minutes before I finished, it started getting very cloudy and the wind has picked up I've now gone out and put it back down again (reverse psychology, lol) in hopes the sun will return. I've now gone out and put it back down again (reverse psychology, lol) in hopes the sun will return.
I ran both of my fleece's through the WM while I was out and about and have brought them in to finish drying inside, mind - they're almost dry when the come out of the machine. Taken the chicken pieces from the IL's out and have rinsed my pieces off, BH says he'll eat his with the hot & spicey goo on - although just a taste made him start a coughing fit :rotfl:
those are about to go into the oven, will have them cold later with some pasta salad and garlic bread.
I'll spend another half hour or so on here and then get the pasta salad made, give the bathroom a quickie wipe over, get 'The Beast' groomed and if the sun does decide to show again, I'll be out back with book, paper and coffee . . . *fingers crossed* 0 0

Afternoon everyone Hope you are all well Hope you are all well
I've been run off my feet as ever, what with my sponsors descending on me and more than one person thinking they are my boss at work. I worked out that I'd spent more time at work than I did at home over the last two weeks. Meh. I'm here at the moment, but I'm just making some buffers, growing some viruses and doing some paperwork. I've managed to get work to pay for my first aid course refresher, which is good.
OH is off camping in Holland next week. I feel a bit guilty for looking forward to a weekend by myself - but I get no time on my own normally I'm sure he'll have a great time. I'm sure he'll have a great time. I have lied to get out of social things over that weekend so I am planning on spending the weekend indoors with nothing but big piles of cream cakes I have lied to get out of social things over that weekend so I am planning on spending the weekend indoors with nothing but big piles of cream cakes It's going to be great! It's going to be great!
OS has been OH's job, on the basis that I'm not prepared to do all of it :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I changed the linen this morning and hoovered. I made some felted soaps with some bits I found in the bathroom. I'm trying to tidy up a bit and run down cupboards and stocks of toiletries, so things like this are useful.
Dinner tonight will be the rest of the pasta we had yesterday (pasta with blue cheese, asparagus, brocolli and walnuts) if OH hasn't eaten it all for lunch - which is a distinct possibility. I've drafted out the invoice for the cake (£230 in total) but I haven't sent it yet. I have a birthday cake to make for Friday
Have a good day all, cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0

Lovely day here but a bit of a nip in the air - But the washing is on the line and drying nicely
HM cream of mushroom soup with HM crusty bread - luverly but a bit too calorific.
DH and DS have done the front garden and are now working on the back garden it looks better now, instead of a jungle
Dr Who on tonight back to 6.20 not 6.oo like last week - It really bugs me that the BBC always move the times around
Diva and Ladygrim........I hope you are both ok (((((Hugs))))))
Jackieglasgow..... I used to love it when DH had to go away for a week but I don't think I would have enjoyed my own space for any much longer than that.

            afternoon all!
not long got back from a few days in Devon with Mum. Not a nice homecoming as I found our old lurcher dead in his bed:( Flyn was 16 and a bedlington whippet cross. He'd been off colour the last week and had generally been showing his age lately so it was not a great shock, in a way its a release for him as his legs have been going and he's had a few 'accidents' too lately. he's had a good life so we cant complain.
More bad news, Mums elderly best friend(92) is seriously ill in hospital with a chest infection and the phone went as I got in from Lloyds bank to say someone had tried to use my card details to buy phone credit:mad: but luckily the bank spotted it and declined it so they've cancelled my card and I'm now waiting for a new one, luckily I have some cash to tide me over. I've checked my account and nothing is missing so I'm relieved!:j
OS - I've just cleaned through the house and am doing a list for later when we go to visit DS1 as there's an Asda there.
 DH has just buried Flyn.
(((hugs))) to those in need, I've not caught up with anything yet.
take care all x x xDo what you love :happyhear0

thanks Butterfly - he was a gorgeous dog - just the same as Alfred the dog from Heartbeat if you remember him and we'd had him from a pup.
We have now gone from 3 dogs to 1 dog,(our jack russel had to be put to sleep a while ago due to illness) just got a blind lurcher called Mig left now.Do what you love :happyhear0
